TOPPING newly arrival ---Bluetooth LDAC receiver ---BC3!
Just got mine. Dead in three minutes. The bluetooth light went on then off and I can't locate it on either of my phones or my laptop. I'm going to HATE having to send this all the way back to China,- Traddad

External CD/DVD drive for computer: quiet, good build quality, multi-use?
Unfortunately, the drive I have is in a relatively flimsy case and adding something to the top would probably bend the case enough to touch the disc.- Traddad

External CD/DVD drive for computer: quiet, good build quality, multi-use?
Boy it's been a long time!..but I find myself with a question this board is uniquely qualified to answer: I built an entertainment computer w/o a CD/DVD drive bay thinking I could just add an external drive. Problem is, the ASUS external drive I bought is louder than bombs and vibrates like...- Traddad

Yes, HD 25... Fat fingers. The plugs on those are different then the ones on the SP IIs. Will they work?- Traddad

Shorter Cable for Senn HD 15-SP II
I have a set of Senn HD 15-SP II cans that I work out with and the cable is ungodly long. Can anyone recommend a cable with a 90 degree plug and less than 1.5m long? Also..the leads to the ear cups have to be the same length, as this model doesn't have the single side routing like the real HD...- Traddad

Distortion: Static ringing? Do I need a new amp?
OK, Looooong time since I've posted, but I thought of this forum first when I needed help: I have started to get a horrible static ringing in my home speakers that seems to be intermittent and pretty random but mostly associated with louder/more syncopated vocals/music. What I have: A nice old...- Traddad

PC Audio setup advice
I'd like to tell you there was one true golden path to audio bliss, but I'd be lying. This is what I think: You're going to have to thrutch around, buying gear at a premiun and selling at a loss, until you stumble onto something that sounds wonderful...TO YOU. When you consider all the...- Traddad

Wow...Foobar is WAY different than I remember. Edit to add: A) I like the config Chris, Thanks!!! B) I do all my library management up front. Everything in album folder within an artist folder. I've always done it this way. +- 20K songs.- Traddad

Best FLAC player for PC?
Quote: I'm sure that's true....but sometimes you just want to sit in a chair, not build it. I seem to remember there was a site somewhere where you could download complete/semi complete packages. izzatso?- Traddad

Best FLAC player for PC?
[Hijack alert] What's a good all round player with Flac capability that lets you build play lists, play several albums/artists on shuffle, has good (enough) sound and is simple and clean. I know Foobar will be a top answer, but I'd really like a "plug and play" player that I don't have to...- Traddad

Internal Audio Card Choices Other Than Xonar Essence?
I'm in "final shopping mode"...most of the entertainment computer is on the way, but I need to to get a good (enough) audio card with at least 5.1 SPDIF/Toslink out to my AV receiver and RCA (or good other) analog out to my stereo amp. Headphones not needed...My ears can no longer take them...- Traddad

A / V, "Entertainment" Computer?
Out paleolithic Dell desktop just burped up the "Blue Screen of Death" (hardware, I did the diagnostics) so it will need replaced. I was thinking of replacing it with an "entertainment" computer and puting it in the stereo cabinet rather than on the desk top. I've been away from HeadFi for a...- Traddad

REVIEW: Ross Martin PCM 1794 DAC- $250 Overachiever
I've been interested in this unit for a while. One thing that really bugged me was the truly crappy pictures on his website. When I e-mailed him and asked if he had better, he said something about not having the time or money to hire a professional photographer. Professional photographer...- Traddad

Schiit DACs (Bifrost and Gungnir down, one to go)? The information and anticipation thread.
If I might be so bold as to make a request....A simple integrated amp of about 50 watts would be sweet. A CD player and another digital source into the Bifrost and the Bifrost into the amp. Throw in a nice pair of Totems and you have small living room nirvana. A guy can dream...- Traddad
