Best DAC for £500 or under?
I ideally would like balanced out and USB in but it's not a must. Other than that, I just want it to sound good. I'm replacing an old Theta DSPro Basic IIIa due to it's high Vout which makes it a pain due to me having to set digital volume very low whenever I listen to music. No Schiit or SMSL...- BucketInABucket

IEM recommendations
Hey guys, I've been out of touch of the IEM market for a few years and I'm looking for new IEM recommendations that won't break the bank. Hopefully looking to spend roughly $300, give or take? More or less is fine too depending on what IEM. I listen to many genres and prefer a natural sound...- BucketInABucket

Sansa Fuze still relevant?
Dug out my old Fuze from storage and it doesn't sound half bad. How does it compare to more modern options though? I wonder if it's still relevant.- BucketInABucket

IEM recommendations for $300
Torn between the Periodic Audio Beryllium and the Massdrop Plus (will be buying one second-hand off here for the people that inevitably change their mind once receiving it). I'll be using it with a Revamp Acoustics Nuansa P1/Shozy Alien+ (maybe on the latter). Other recommendations are also...- BucketInABucket

USB Power and Data Splitter Cable
Need one for my USB to SPDIF converter as it's bus-powered and I'm planning on building a separate PSU for it. Is there a relatively inexpensive option available or do I need to make my own too?- BucketInABucket

So my Gilmore Lite V2 broke.
When I play music through it, at low volumes it doesn't give me sound at all and when I get to higher volumes one side cuts in and out and it gives a rather distorted sound. Also, when I use the power switch it doesn't properly switch on until I shove the 'on' end right in. Please help?- BucketInABucket

Headphone Amp/Dac problems
Currently, this is my desktop rig. See the problem? The size different is just too great! Therefore, can I have recommendations for an amp roughly the size of the DACMagic or a DAC roughly around the size of the Gilmore Lite V2 in this picture? I'm going to use the amp with orthos and the DAC...- BucketInABucket

Alpha Design Labs (Furutech) EH-008 In-ear Monitors
I bought these at Jaben HK today as I quite liked the sound. Has anyone else heard of these or listened to them? There's only the product page on head-fi and no new thread as I suspect these are a relatively new product so I decided to start up a new thread for these gems. EDIT: Official...- BucketInABucket

TotL closed-back suggestions
Title says it all. Wish to have some suggestions for TotL closed-back headphones for my next upgrade over the summer. I prefer a smooth warm-ish bassy sound signature. The most important thing about the sound signature is the treble has to be good-quality (not fatiguing or peaky) as I'm young...- BucketInABucket

Diamond Stylus SH-700?
So I don't normally like buying vintage headphones with absolutely no info on them online but I saw these going for cheap so I snapped them up just to see what they're like. Just wondering if anyone else has any experience with these phones? I bought them to use in a SFI driver transplant but if...- BucketInABucket

The Bucket-Rin OA-7: A DiY driver transplant into a Pickering OA-7 shell.
Finished my second DiY project. Taobao drivers into the Pickering OA-7 shell + my custom cable. I call it the Bucket-Rin OA-7. I'm not sure if this is supposed to go here or the DiY discussions forum and I posted it in both places so if a mod sees this and it turns out that it is in the wrong...- BucketInABucket

Good quality 70mm pleather or leather replacement pads required
Hey, do you guys have any suggestions for good 70mm pads which are pleather or leather and feel nice? So far, I can mostly only find crappy Chinese OEM ones which I absolutely despise the feel of. The nicest I can find are Audio Technica ESW9 pads but I don't know about the inner diameter (which...- BucketInABucket

Need a suggestion for a DAP with an excellent DAC and true line-out to pair with my Portaphile 627 Micro
Title says it all. DAPs on my shortlist so far include: FiiO X5 DX90 Some DAP in the works by SQD Tech As you can see, it's a pretty short list (heh). Preferably, it would have at least one micro SD slot for expandable storage. Do you guys have any other suggestions? Thanks- BucketInABucket

Cable replacement for HD424s
I'm thinking of snapping up a pair of vintage HD424s and replacing the cable on them. However, I would like to know whether you can just use something like a HD25 cable or HD650 cable or if you have to buy a replacement cable specifically designed for the HD424. Thanks.- BucketInABucket

Need recommendations for interconnect cable for DX50 and Apex Glacier.
I have an Apex Glacier coming next week and I will be pairing it with the DX50, HD25 Aluminium and NAD HP50 (the latter of which will also be coming next week).
