Which cable for Hifiman Deva Pro?

Thank you very much. Do you mean "will work?" What do you mean by single-ended? This site says that TRS is balanced. Are they wrong or am I missing something? Once again thank you for your help.

Which cable for Hifiman Deva Pro?

Hello, I want to get a Hifiman Deva Pro but I am unsure about the cable. Would a standard cable like this work? On the Hifiman page (you have to scroll down a bit), it says it can accommodate a dual-sided unbalanced 3.5mm cable and a single-sided 3.5mm balanced cable. In the same place, it...

Regarding Dolby Atmos for Headphones/Windows Sonic for Headphone when should I "Turn on 7.1. Virtual Surround Sound."

Thank you for your help. It does, though I haven't really tested it with games (I will have to give that a go). I will also have to give another go with films to make sure but from what I recall it definitely worked.

Regarding Dolby Atmos for Headphones/Windows Sonic for Headphone when should I "Turn on 7.1. Virtual Surround Sound."

Thank you for your response. I don't know, the 7.1 had a significant effect with the LOTR movie I watched.

Regarding Dolby Atmos for Headphones/Windows Sonic for Headphone when should I "Turn on 7.1. Virtual Surround Sound."

Thank you both for your helpful responses. So just to be certain, Dolby Atmos/Windows sonic is strictly for surround sound content (like 5.1 netflix) whether or not I "Turn on 7.1. Virtual Surround Sound?" What does clicking the "Turn on 7.1. Virtual Surround Sound" box do versus leaving it...

Regarding Dolby Atmos for Headphones/Windows Sonic for Headphone when should I "Turn on 7.1. Virtual Surround Sound."

Hello, Just like the question says I was wondering when it is best to turn on or off 7.1. virtual surround sound with Dolby Atmos/Windows Sonic for Headphones. I was watching the Fellowship of the Rings Bluray yesterday and was displeased the crap/dead sound on my HE500 headphones. I looked at...

How to tell left and right HE-500 cups when the "L" and "R" labels have faded?

I tried something like that I think. It told me which Connector on the cable was left or right, not which ear cup was left or right. For instance, no matter where I put the left connector it would always say 'left.' I may try your specific link when I get home God willing but I don't think it...

Oh so it doesn't matter? Thanks! Thanks very much!

How to tell left and right HE-500 cups when the "L" and "R" labels have faded?

My HE-500 cable began cutting out when I moved my head so I disconnected them to use some older ones I had. However I forgot to mentally mark which was which and now I need a foolproof way of telling the cups apart. I feel I might have figured it out (I think the right might have a bit of a...

HiFiMAN HE-500 = Waste of Money (and general discussion)

I have the HE-500's as well and I have been frustrated with them... until just recently! The real source of my ire was the fact that very rarely (maybe once or twice) the headphones would output this really good sound that made me unwilling to give up on the headphones. I have spent the last two...

Have I ruined my HE-500's? It is starting to seem likely.

Okay so I finally figured it out.   Two things:   1: O2+ODAC seems to like 24bit/96khz best. It seems to sound best here.   2: I also learned that it is important never to go above 1 o'clock on the volume (potentiometer?) as that seems to introduce heavy distortion. I used to turn it up to...

Have I ruined my HE-500's? It is starting to seem likely.

So just tried it again. They suddenly great. No idea what's going on.   Edit: Beginning to think I must have overtaxed the O2+ODAC during the burn in somehow.   Edit 2: Now they suddenly sound muffled and awful. I think it's the amp/dac at this point.

Have I ruined my HE-500's? It is starting to seem likely.

I have tried regular gain and high gain. No dice. Even my PC 360 sounds off which I used be able to enjoy on the o2+odac now sounds wierd.

Have I ruined my HE-500's? It is starting to seem likely.

I am thinking so too. It must be either the headphone or the dac. I am being sent an opamp from JDSLabs. Does anyone know if that could solve the problem if it is on the amp side?   I am beginning to think it is the amp. Even my Sennheiser PC360 which used to sound beautiful to my ears now...

Have I ruined my HE-500's? It is starting to seem likely.

Except I did like it for a while. Anyway I have experienced everything from veiled and muffled to harsh and rough with these things. Anyway, I switched everything off for a while (most of the day) and just came back to it and it sounds better. I might be imagining it though.

Have I ruined my HE-500's? It is starting to seem likely.

I have tried on both systems with the O2+ODAC. It sounds the same on both.

I have a desktop. I'll try connecting the headphones to that?
