Iv got a Samsung similar to the earlier post. I think they are also the best looking TV's which means quite a lot as they are unfortunately now the focal point of most living rooms.

I may just keep the Headfive for the time being then. I already have a good DAC that i use with my speaker set-up and interchange with my headphone amp. I may well go tubes in the future but im not willing to commit that much money for the time being.

Well iv not even heard the RS-1's with my Headfive yet. The RS-1s should be with me any time soon. I have just been reading about the synergy that they have with the RA-1 that i thought i would get it, but if it doesnt sound any better than the Headfive then ill give it a miss. Hence the reason...

What email address did you use. As if i remember right, they dont allow gmail and hotmail addresses to be used. There are a few places that wont accept these generic email addresses. I can only guess the reason is because they are so easy to aquire.

Can anyone actually compare the Headfive and RA-1 using the RS-1's? Everyone telling me to go tubes, but im not looking at investing that much at the moment.

Hey, glad you are enjoying the SR-71. Its a great wee amp. Iv actually just bought a pair of 225's as well second hand from these forums. Im not looking to spend too much cash to be honest. Hence whether to get the RA-1 with great synergy or just stick with the headfive.

The clix comes with a very nice little dock and remote control that has speakers. Kinda makes it look like a retro TV.

You will hear that kind of low hiss with most IEMs + DAP due to the low impedence of the Shures. An amp will resolve this problem if you want to go down that route.

What about the Audio Technica ATH-EW9, a bit more portable?
