the burn-in is HUGE on my JH13s. Almost 150 hours now, it sounds MUCH better than out of box. The sound stage was like 20 time smaller than hd800 in the beginning, mid was dry, and treble could not sparkle. Now it sounds like a completely different IEMs. oh man, can't believe this....

I think the grainy you guys talking about is actually resolution? They reveal more details in each notes especially balanced.

yeah, balanced 901 is impressive

add:   if I did not have re400s and did not hear re600s under the 901 balanced mode, my money would already belonged to HiFiMAN..... still surprised by how much improvement of re600s running in balanced 901.....   And if you are buying the re600s, just ignore the stock tips and get some...

Just back from the NYC event, finally heard the re600. I briefly compared them with my re400 and JH13 (well, I know, this was not fair...) anyway..... my impressions are by no mean comprehensive due to the event situation and short listening time, but I am doing my best.   re600 sounds...

I have the same issue, sorry for no help on TS-400s since I haven't heard them   but now I am enjoying the mid size tips from my B&W C5
