Best IEMs or earbuds for working out/ running under $150
I am new to the whole audiophile game and have a pair of DT770s that I recently bought and need some IEMs too. This forum steered me in the right direction last time. I really enjoy the sound of the DT770s and would like similar bass or V shaped sound. So, I run on treadmills and lift weights...- jm722

are expensive headphones really worth it?
Listen to what you like. Some people on here take this whole "audiophile" hobby to a level of obsession and extreme. If you like the sound and can afford it, get it. Everyone has different taste and likes. If you spend time obsessing over little details and whether or not the format mp3, FLAC...- jm722

Best headphone under 300$? (my first thread :) )
Quote: He's looking for stuff sold at BestBuy. Fiio is not. For the Best-Buy under $300, you have ATH-900x a bunch of beats, monster, and fanny wang (avoid all for being overpriced) Sennhesier HD-25 a few other Sennhesiers Beyerdynamic 1350s (which I believe aren't...- jm722

Best headphone under 300$? (my first thread :) )
I think the UEs 6000 sounded pretty good at BestBuy for 199. Depends on your taste but they're not bad. Logitech owns the company Ultimate Ears and seems to be decent on here- jm722

Looking for headphones. 150$-200$ Canadian. ClosedBack.
DT770s? Closed back and have bass. Nice highs too. I've had mine for a week and am very happy for $160USD. Not sure how much the price will differ in CA Edit: looks like its 225 Canadian. Sorry didn't realize the difference, figured conversion would keep it the same- jm722

I also purchased a digital to analog converter for my TV to listen to it with headphones. The sound isn't nearly as good as it is from my iphone or PC w/ the E11. I can live with this but I'd like to find a way to improve the sound, or create a surround sound effect when playing PS3 and...- jm722

Best 7.1 gaming headset for PS3
So instead of starting a new thread I figured I'd piggyback. Hopefully someone will answer. I have a pair of DT 770 Pro that I just bought, along with an E11. I also purchased a digital to analog converter for my TV to listen to it with headphones. The sound isn't nearly as good as it...- jm722

You're in school, save the money. Get the DT770s with an amp or dac/amp combo. Should run you $230-280- jm722

Ok, well I've had a few days with my headphones now and am very happy with the DT 770 Pro-80s. With the E11 attached it's very nice and the bass is fine. If I put it at EQ 1 or 2 then it's just as good as the COP in my opinion. These are far more comfortable and less hot, likely due to the...- jm722

If agree. I've been searching too and bought 4 different headphones from 200-300 and kept the DT770 as my final choice. The UE are nice too. However you may need an amp, which will run you another $30-60 for something basic. I'd choose the E11- jm722

DT-770 Pro 80hms crappy bass
I just got my first pair of headphones too. I ordered the Custom One Pros and DT770. I actually preferred the bass of the DT770 but the COP is much stronger without an amp. Same price. I'd take those over the beats. With an E11 my DT770 have me feeling pretty happy right now. Maybe...- jm722

Listened to a few songs tonight. DT770 wins vs. the COP hands down for everything but bass. I listened to "Man in the Mirror" by Michael Jackson and "How Low" by Ludacris (just really low) and a few film scores. The COP sounds bad in the highs and the DT770 just sounds better overall. I can...- jm722

Ok so what I like from both. COP: Bass adjustability, DT 770: comfort, less hot, good sound with E11. only gripe would maybe be a little more bass. Nice highs, not as muddy and deep. So it's either bass head, or better overall noise. I definitely hear things int he DT 770...- jm722

Quote: I'll have to research them tonight. Read some reviews and whatnot. It'd be within the upper limits of my budget, but if they are that good then I may make an exception. If you have personal experience I'd appreciate it- jm722
