Don't quote me on it but I believe they are the same headphones, one has a straight cord the other coiled.    Look on google it'll tell you. 

I shouldn't say we'd ever hear.    Way better music earlier. More or less the time period discussed.

It's a year late in 2000 but Big L The Big Picture has to be mentioned. One of the best rap albums ever IMO. 

This thread has been a great help, thank you to everyone. Before I order I just wanted to make sure the Technical Pro hpt990 are the same as the Takstar hi2050? Don't really feel like waiting 25 days for Takstars if they are the same.

Not really sure.    I ordered a pair but decided to cancel the order when I saw the price didn't drop for 2 days straight.    My guess would be because they are officially discontinued by Klipsch.
