Yeah, like goodvibes said, there are many reasons for the tip and tip length to affect sound. My main concern is actually if the tip bends past the kse nozzle you're actually hearing sound reflected off of a silicone wall.

Wanted to update my findings - the audience au24 se rca cable is amazing. Retains all of the detail, musicality, and space the Hugo pumps out. That "analogue" quality I love so much about the Hugo is there in spades... Still on the USB hunt...

I'm only getting about 7-8 hours of play time using the optical in + some time on the hd usb.  Anyone else?  This is, of course, on the battery...
