I'd like more info about the P2 but it seems like the PX is in my future. The one thing I don't like about the PX is the stupid cable with mic. I don't want the mic! I'd rather have the non mic cable that comes with the P1. Maybe I should just buy the P1.

I finally moved away from chasing the unicorn in budget-fi land and bought some solid upper-mid fi full sized cans. I'm ready to take the next step on some CFA Orions as IEMs but my wallet and wife aren't yet. These are solidly on my radar though.

Thanks for the heads up. One guy is bundling them with some upgraded cable and the other is selling them for the same price as MD. There does seem to be a nice set of K702s at a decent price but the special touches on the K7XX are too tempting.

I'm also holding out for the all black to drop again. In the mean time I'm enjoying the K553 Pro. My plan is the K553 at work and the K7XX at home. I'm a recent AKG convert.

On first listen, the X1 sounds like it has less fullness than my iPhone 6s but I do hear more detail. If I put my hand flat against my ear, the HF doesn't even touch. And I don't have large ears. If you look back in this thread it seems like them not sticking out is more of the norm. I considered the RE-400 but decided against it because of build quality. Just some things to consider. Read more...
