I'm looking for new headphones around $300

I can go over that, but not more than $400. Right now, I have the VMODA Crossfade M100s. They cost me $300 a while ago, but they are wearing out, and one plastic cover on the headband snapped off and I had to superglue it. I mainly listen to heavy metal, electronic music, and a lot of other...

[Closed Back Over Ear Headphones] I am looking for a good pair for $180 or under

Are the Sennheiser Momentums any good for $250? They look amazing and the brand is supposed to be one of the best. It is also rated about 4.5-4.8 stars out of 5 here on Head Fi.

[Closed Back Over Ear Headphones] I am looking for a good pair for $180 or under

I do not have an amp because I have not had headphones with a high impedance before. My source would be the sound card on the ASUS Crosshair V Formula-Z motherboard which is a top of the line expensive motherboard. It has an EMI shielded sound card so I should have no problem with it. If I am...

[Closed Back Over Ear Headphones] I am looking for a good pair for $180 or under

I was also thinking of waiting until my birthday in a few weeks and getting a pair of $300 headphones. I MAY be able to go to $400 so can you recommends some $300 to $400 headphones too? Thanks!

[Closed Back Over Ear Headphones] I am looking for a good pair for $180 or under

I am looking for a bit of punchy bass, good mids, and good highs. I want to go as close to a flat signature as I possibly can while the bass is just slightly boosted. I currently have the Ultrasone HFI 580's but I am wanting a new pair because the jack on the end of the cord is a bit bent from...

Can I continue to use my headphones when I receive an implantable cardiac defibrillator?

I have the Ultrasone HFI 580 which supposedly conforms to the ULE standards. I might even get a subcutaneous one so I don't know. I have heard that you need to keep them 1.2 inches away from the ICD? I might buy headphones in the future so what are some good ones that I can use with the ICD?

What bit depth should I encode my audio with?

So if the microphone records with a bit depth of 16 bits at a sampling rate of 48000Hz, and uses 1 channel (mono sound) and I add audio with 32 bits of depth with a sampling rate of 44100Hz and 2 channels (stereo), then I should store that in a 16 bit, 44100Hz sampling rate, and stereo WAV file...

What bit depth should I encode my audio with?

    Can anyone answer this?

What bit depth should I encode my audio with?

My microphone can record at a 44100Hz and a 48000Hz sampling rate. I am then going to encode that audio to a WAV file with Audacity. Should I do 32 bit float, Signed 32 bit PCM, etc? What is the difference between the first two? Should I really encode at 32 bits or is 16 bits enough for high...

Replacing earpads and headpad on Ultrasone HFI-580's?

Sorry for all of my posts, but I have two questions. First, I can't find the headband on that website you linked me to. Second, do the Brainwavz HM5 pads really cost $8.50 per pad?

Replacing earpads and headpad on Ultrasone HFI-580's?

Ah, didn't see the website link in your post. Ignore my above comment.

Replacing earpads and headpad on Ultrasone HFI-580's?

On the link you gave me for the headpad, I searched for it on Sennheiser and it's out of stock. Do you know of any other good headpads? I can't find any.

Replacing earpads and headpad on Ultrasone HFI-580's?

Sorry for not searching for the information first :/ My version is the 3 meter cord (the straight one).

Replacing earpads and headpad on Ultrasone HFI-580's?

Is there a way to replace the cord without making the connection to the left ear look like crap and having a small gap around the cord?

Replacing earpads and headpad on Ultrasone HFI-580's?

The pleather is getting soft and hard at the same time and it feels very weird. Since I have glasses, there is also an indentation on each pad. What pads are best for the same isolation that pleather ones offer? Can you also replace the headpad thing?

Stuck between the Ultrasone HFI-580's and the Audio Technica M50's

I just got them! They sound awesome! Is there any way I could make the cord shorter like braiding it or something?

Stuck between the Ultrasone HFI-580's and the Audio Technica M50's

So how should I break them in? Do I just plug them in and turn it to medium-max volume fore 100 hours?

Stuck between the Ultrasone HFI-580's and the Audio Technica M50's

Well, I just ordered my Ultrasone HFI-580's from Amazon with 1 day shipping! It should arrive next week on Tuesday! I can't wait to break them in and write a review! I'll have to learn all the headphone lingo otherwise I will have a hard time explaining what the sound is like.

Stuck between the Ultrasone HFI-580's and the Audio Technica M50's

Okay. Should I wait until my birthday? I might have $150 or more to spend then. Or are the 580's good for $150 or below?

Stuck between the Ultrasone HFI-580's and the Audio Technica M50's

I listen to electronica, dubstep, heavy bass (I like to feel the bass), guitar music, country, indie dance, gypsy punk like Gogol Bordello, and a bunch of other stuff. I want headphones where the bass stands out and has a kick. I also like more balanced headphones. I heard both are lacking mids...

Great Headphones for me - $120 budget

So I'm thinking about the Ultrasone 580's, but I don't know if they will fit my ear. I have pretty small ears but I don't know... Can someone please measure the diameter if the inside of the phones?

I'm just worried that the S-Logic surround sound will ruin it for me.

Great Headphones for me - $120 budget

The M50's seem to be more stable to me. The sony seems to be lacking mids and the shures lack bass.

Great Headphones for me - $120 budget

So the Grados look like they don't have that much bass for me and I do listen to music that is bass heavy. And I don't like the concept of open air design. So right now unless anyone thinks of better headphones I'm stuck between the Shure SRH440's and the Audio Technica ATH-M50's. What's the...
