Post A Photograph Of Your Turntable
Well, bebophead some of my best purchases did not include an exterior ring, though I thought about it long and hard. I, I want to make a record change FaST!!!!! I never return albums my shaved Shibata stylus tracks lower than almost all scratches, excepting my Rolling Stones AFTERMATH London...- snapontom

I would recommend a cheap vinyl cleaner like Spin Clean to bring out the sound in your albums. Albums can be as quiet as a CD.- snapontom

The Decware TABOO MK 111 Thread
I have enjoyed the Taboo CSP2+ combination for years now. I like the sound and the concise soundstage they offer with my Heresy III speakers. The difference tube quality makes is apparent with these two Decware amplifiers. The amps look awesome with my Thorens TD-124 turntable, Ortofon SPU...- snapontom

Dubstep Girl's Massive 5AR4/5R4/5U4G Rectifier Review/Comparison! (Rectifer Tube Rolling thread)
This is one of my favorite threads, along with the "show a pic of your turntable thread". It is Sunday morning here in AZ and cool. I have a dedicated line of electricity to my system. There must be ample power in the grid today. My soundstage is up on the back wall, and the imaging is swell...- snapontom

Post A Photograph Of Your Turntable
Congrats, that's a nice set-up! Hope you enjoy playing vinyl half as much as I do. When I first started playing records I thought the music was a muted especially at the high end. At first I asked myself, what's the big deal? But I kept returning to analog playback and not in a conscious...- snapontom

Dubstep Girl's Massive 5AR4/5R4/5U4G Rectifier Review/Comparison! (Rectifer Tube Rolling thread)
guitarplayer.com has an informative article entitled "All About Rectifiers" by Dave Hunter which gave me more insight as to their function. I learned that the transformer feeds AC voltage into the rectifier which turns that voltage into the pure DC voltage needed by the output tubes to...- snapontom

Dubstep Girl's Massive 5AR4/5R4/5U4G Rectifier Review/Comparison! (Rectifer Tube Rolling thread)
Ok, Ok? I have been doing some critical listening today. Tomorrow I get my camera back! I have a tripod. Pictures forthcoming. Listening, listening to a Decca release of Joseph Haydn Symphonie Nr. 92 G-dur,, Oxford. Ok, ok? I would not sell my USAF 596 for $596. I would not sell at...- snapontom

Dubstep Girl's Massive 5AR4/5R4/5U4G Rectifier Review/Comparison! (Rectifer Tube Rolling thread)
I have seen the price of the USAF 596 rise consistently since purchasing mine. The price is what the market will bring. I will not be selling mine, and I don't have a back up 596. They are not easy to come by. I would not be surprised to see the price go higher.- snapontom

The Decware TABOO MK 111 Thread
That HP mod is fantastic. I have a mod that puts external resisters in the speaker outs. I can use them when I listen to my headphones without speakers connected to the amp. DEcware fabricated them for me and I keep them in my LCD2 box. I have the MK II also. Great amp.- snapontom

REVIEW: Decware Select Zen CSP2 Tube Headphone Amp
My Decware switch box will output my Sansui tuner and Bifrost DAC to the CSP2+. My turntable will feed into a Decware phono amp then straight into my CSP2+. The CSP2+ output will go directly to a Taboo MK II outfitted with Z capacitors. This set up should be black and magical. I am...- snapontom

The official record-cleaning fetish thread!
Ok, Ok? I've read this thread with some amusement. Last year I purchased and used a Spin Clean $125 with astonishingly good results. It works great at cleaning dust. I have found that records need to be cleaned more often than I want to break out the Spin Clean though. Ya know dust is...- snapontom

Decware Appreciation Thread (MT review up on first page 2-10-12)
As MLK said "I have been to the mountain." I went to Phoenix for Thanksgiving and visited a shop, Hi-Fi Arizona, or tubeaudio.com. Sitting in the sweet spot of their listening room I experienced what is possible in two channel audio. The imaging was precise. The sound did not appear to be...- snapontom

The Decware TABOO MK 111 Thread
I have the heresy 3's . I bought them as new seconds off ebay. Small chip in the veneer. I am happy with them. They are fast, clear, and range down to 56 Hz. Later I added a powered sub that has a volume control and a variable crossover. I run the sub from the CSP2+. I like the sound of...- snapontom

Decware Appreciation Thread (MT review up on first page 2-10-12)
I ordered the Decware switch box with the capacitors, even though I don't know the benefit of having caps. No DC current, but what does that do for the sound?, I don't know. I will input a DAC, receiver, and phonostage into the switchbox and output to the CSP2+. I can run the other output...- snapontom

This is my TT. It is on a better stand now. I will keep it because it sounds good and I really like the feature it has where the tonearm lifts up and the motor turns off at the end of playing an album side. I don't have the opportunity to AB it with a VPI classic, but I wonder how...- snapontom

Decware Appreciation Thread (MT review up on first page 2-10-12)
Decware has a new product, a switcbox. I need it. I see that they offer capacitors to get rid of DC current. The site didn't say what the benifits are of getting rid of DC current. And I sure don't know. I like that it is heavy so it will stay in place and Steve drew up some diagrams of how...- snapontom
