Etymotic ER4 Replacement Cable in UK?
I have gathered this much by now. Westone cable might be the cheapest option. I would like the Apuresounds 90 degree connectors very much. I have tried to contact Etymotic to find out the final cost of repairs. No reply so far.- Jahvetti

Hello Head-Fi! Phiaton offers you free gear!
I feel that most important thing in headphones is that they makes the music I listen involving and enjoyable. It is extremely difficult to say what it is that makes a pair of cans able to do that, because people's hearing differs between individuals so much. That said, it is clear that single...- Jahvetti

iPod Classic - still worthwhile?
Just got my iPod classic 120 GB. Sound is quite nice through the Grado HP1000/HP2 headphones. I'll get proper in-ears for this soon, but now it seems that the sound quality is really nice in this model. I once tried the 3rd Gen iPod and was badly underwhelmed then.- Jahvetti

silvercore
I had a very pleasant opportunity to hear the Silvercore again and to compare it directly with Singlepower MPX3. Silvercore seems to be toned to the dryer side of the neutral, and in comparison the MPX3 sounded really romantic. However Silvercore respond well to tube rolling and we tried...- Jahvetti

Where is Singlepower? Where is Mikhail?
Ah, you were talking about Mikhail then... And not the previous poster. This downfall of Singlepower is really not a nice thing. I hope the individuals still having issues at least get their money back, which seems really not too likely to happen.- Jahvetti

12AU7 comparison
Well, apart from the NOS-tubes I really like the new production JJ ECC82. Unfortunately I can't compare those to the "Bugle-Boy", which seems to reach quite high prices at the moment. I like the Mullard ECC82 too, but it is softer and more round in its presentation. JJ is firm and detailed and...- Jahvetti

how much does power cable influence the sound?
My experience is that the power cable is not very important part of the audio chain. But one can go to the Tweaks forum and discuss.- Jahvetti

My new amp : SP The Dragon
Why don't you try the second gain stage to ensure that the power tubes are run with enough current? Just use some low gain tubes at that position.- Jahvetti
