True, in Wes's review of the K701, he said it's the best headphone he'd ever heard. I guess he thought it was better than the K-1000

That's absurd! The K1000 is WAY better

I would think that 666 would be a serial that they would just skip, sort of like hotels often leave out the 13th floor. Maybe no one thought that far ahead (or they never thought they would be able to sell more than 665 headphones at $1400

).

If this headache does not go away soon, it's EBAY for #666

LOL
all of mankind have been allergic to #666 in some form for a while, I am no exception.

No, just seasonal allergies over here.
the headaches yesterday was so intense not even bouts of Karen Carpenter on SACD through my lightweight Grados could dissipate.
On bad headaches days, I cannot wear heavier phones like the Denon AH-D7000 or my new #666. Which I am happy to say is getting its work 24/7 on a dedicated Sennheiser headphone hanger and feed with juice from a Headroom Max amp. Loud enough that I can make out Page's guitar and each of Plant's words from a desk away.
sweet.

finally, the fit and finish of #666 is near flawless with some minor tiny marks on some stainless steel surface. I find these to be on our SubZero frig as well. The cups and headband does attract plenty of dust, something you rarely see on the Grados (cheap foam) or fancy faux leather on Denon or real leather in the Audio Technica or Ultrasone.

On the head, #666 actually feels lighter than the Denon AH-D7000. Not sure why this is, but I have not worn the #666 for any lengthy period so I will post later.

...not "possessed" yet
