Hifiman TWS600 - First Impression
I think the XM3 sounds much, much better than the TWS600. It's got a more balanced, neutral sound. The Sony is not shrill or bright, nor is it bass heavy. Images decently. This is all with ANC turned off and 256 AAC out of my iPhone. The Sony's case is physically larger, but it does...- jadalias

Official Sony WF-1000XM3 Thread - Noise Cancelling True Wireless Earphones
I have the Complyfoam Isolation 200's. They fit well on the headphones themselves and into the case for charging.- jadalias

Hifiman TWS600 - First Impression
I'm having a lot of trouble deciding between the E8 and the XM3 because it's hard to A/B Bluetooth headphones! The Sony's have an app with an EQ so I've been playing with that. I THINK that I like the Sony's sq better than the E8 right now, with the noise cancelling turned off. I'd say that in...- jadalias

Hifiman TWS600 - First Impression
You might want to check out the B&O Beoplay E8 2.0 and the Sony WF-1000MX3. I have both right now and they do a better job with the comply foam isolation size large that I prefer to use. Also, IMO, they both sound way better than the TWS600. The Sony's are around $229 and the B&O $300 so yeah...- jadalias

Hifiman TWS600 - First Impression
When I used them, I had to push the earbuds into the case. They'd pop up, not making contact with the charging pins, and I'd have to push them down and close the lid to pressure them into place.- jadalias

Hifiman TWS600 - First Impression
The ones in red are the ones I used that didn't fit. I think at a minimum, included large single-flanged tips like these should fit in the case. The B&O's allow that in a case that's around the same size (I know B&O are much more expensive).- jadalias

Hifiman TWS600 - First Impression
Here's what I expect when I say that the tips "fit": when you place the headphones back in the case, they just drop in and you don't have to worry about whether the headphones are actually charging or not, nor do you need to use the lid of the case to pressure the headphones to seat properly in...- jadalias

Hifiman TWS600 - First Impression
EXACTLY!!!! I really felt like with a better designed case, and better tuning, these could have been great. I mostly intended to use them with an iPhone which is AAC anyway, so while I think the lack of other codecs is weird, it doesn't affect me much. Again, right on. That's exactly how I...- jadalias

Hifiman TWS600 - First Impression
I've been looking for a good pair of true wireless earbuds. I've tried the Sennheiser Momentum TW (really muddy sounding), the Aukey T10 (just a low-fi sound), and now the Hifiman TWS600. The TWS600 doesn't work for me. I did the full 20 hour break in before I listened from my iPhone X S Max...- jadalias

My First Rig??? n00b Question!
Try upgrading your headphones. I have the E2c's, and I think the Altec Lansing im716's would be a good all around upgrade for you. http://www.amazon.com/Altec-Lansing-inMotion-iM716-Headphones/dp/B000BKE8QQ/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1/103-6293335-7419037?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1186726060&sr=8-1...- jadalias

Shuffle 1G 1GB vs. Nano 1G 1GB
The sound quality on the 1st gen shuffle is better than the 1st gen nano (Apple firmware). Lower noise floor, better bass. The lack of a screen on the shuffle can get annoying sometimes. The shuffle is far more durable, scratch wise, than the nano. I haven't used the 2g shuffle, so I...- jadalias

Is there a cheaper SACD player with XLR than the NAD M5?
I have heard that NAD unit, and it's pretty good. I heard it with the NAD M3 integrated. Make sure you look around, because I'm pretty sure the MSRP is $1899, so you should be able to get it for less than the $1800 you mentioned.- jadalias

6G iPod: I think we know what's coming
One thing I would like to see is a digital output. So many iPod products are using the analog line out from the dock connector, you'd think that some accessory makers would be requesting a better way to get the music off the iPod (I'm thinking of some of those high end accessory makers, not the...- jadalias

6G iPod: I think we know what's coming
I thought we should start a new thread for this. Take the iPhone. Now yank all the phone junk out and throw that new single platter 60gb 1 inch drive in there. Then we'll have a 60gb wifi widescreen touch screen iPod video. A 120gb dual platter 1 inch drive has been announced, so figure...- jadalias

Wow. Now all they need to do is yank all the phone junk and throw that new single platter 60gb 1 inch drive in there. Then we'll have a 60gb wifi widescreen ipod video. If they'd offer an itunes supscription service, you could browse it from either my hypothetical ipod or the new iphone...- jadalias

Review: Portable amp roundup! 56 portable amps reviewed and compared - FINAL update 12-20-10 added RSA SR-71B
Skylab, Thanks for the big review, but one thing stuck out at me: these are all portable amps, being tested with a portable source, but the headphones you used are big and probably aren't ones that people will take on the go. What made you decide to use the Beyers instead of the Shures or...- jadalias

Apple lossless vs. Lame MP3 @ 256
First of all, it's pretty obvious to me that lossless files are totally superior to FWD in any and all road conditions. Especially on the racetrack, I have found that lossy files just don't cut it; they lack the steering precision that modern day RWD DAPs have. It's pretty obivous that, with...- jadalias
