Is the magni/modi worth the bit of extra money over the E17/E09k? I've read that the Fiio combo won't really give the 650s what they need.

Just picked up a pair of HD 650s. My previous setup was DT 770 250ohm and a Fiio E17, however I'm looking for a more powerful amp/dac for the 650s. I'm considering either getting a Fiio E09k to go with the E17, or selling the E17 and getting a Schiit Magni/Modi stack. Which option would be...

I'm looking for an amp for my DT990 Pro 250ohms. As long as it's 200 or under, maybe a tad more, and I'd prefer portable unless there's something non portable that's great for the price. I'm mostly looking for an AMP/DAC combo so it's all in one package and I don't have to buy anything else. So...

    I understand that, and after listening to my headphones more extensively I realized that I probably won't need more bass, especially if I have an amp. There's always EQ if I need it.       That's good. I'll wait and see what JDS Labs has to offer for an O2 Amp/DAC combo.
