They were plugged into my fiio amp, I was silly to try it out on that... they couldn't handle the power LOL

ATH M-50, They sound like 600 dollar headphones. I've over 19 years of experience. Had these for about a week and love them. I bought these to use when traveling. Amazing sound

I have a pair of some old Phillips Magnavox headphones I had laying around and wanted to compair my other headphones. Obviously they're not going to sound as good as my Grado's or my ATHM50s... but why is the music fadeing when a song has bass and then no bass and it gets louder? Thanks.

I'm looking for some headphones where I can take with me when I travel and not have to worry about them getting damaged. 

Are the ATH-M50 good? I'm thinking about ordering them. I see good reviews everywhere about them.

I will use them primarly for music and youtube videos, movies. I want good bass and decent isolation. I heard the Logitech G35's were a good headphone, but the M50s are nice too. Any suggestions? If you own them what do you like and hate about them? Thanks.

Also, should I get an amp with these? If so what kind. I'm willing to pay upward of 250 dollars for SEALED headphones. Thanks all.

Hi all, I'm new to this website and it looks great. I have been using Logitech G35's for many years until the cushions broke and they started to just get worn. I'm looking into the Audio Technica ATH-M50S. They are the same as the M50, but the S is for the straight cord. (I think). Are they good...
