Schiit Magni/Modi 3.5mm Question
I own a 3.5mm-6.3(?)mm adapter that I'm sure almost everyone else owns as well. Can I use that with the Schiit Magni? From the looks of it, I don't think I can. If that is the case, what cable/adapter do I need? I know it's a newbie question but any help would.. help. Thanks.- bobbert

Soundcard V DAC V Amps
MOAR JUICE OMG haha XD Thanks lads for the info. I'll probably be picking up a DAC with a more "modern" amp. Anyone know a store/manufacturer that sells the two in bundles of 2?- bobbert

Soundcard V DAC V Amps
Hao's it going. About a year ago I upgraded from 20$ "IEMs" and an iPod to a pair of M50's and a 20 year old 15 kg. Sony "amp" that is hooked up to a converter into my Creative Lab speakers that is connected to my computer. I have probably the most ghetto set up you can think of. I've been...- bobbert

That's the thing. I have no "soundcard" (default NVIDIA junk) or DAC. The only thing I have is a ghetto setup. It's probably a 30 year old "Sony Dolby Pro Logic Surround "Stereo" Amplifier" Which works better as an equalizer than an amp in my opinion for cans.- bobbert

Overwhelmed
Hao, I'm looking for a good headphone amp for my desktop. However, I have close to no idea where to look. I bought a pair of ATH-M50's almost 6 months back and have loved them since. They were a blind buy, though. Purchased based on reviews, in fact (no matter how correct they were)...- bobbert

Notepad Ready, School Me
Air tight cars, air tight coffin^ Nah but, in all seriousness, I'm really looking for someone (or a site) that can teach me about blowing a speaker, sub, etc.. I don't plan on going overboard when it comes to car audio. When I'm in the car, like you said, the outside noise, I really only...- bobbert

Notepad Ready, School Me
I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this, but I'll try anyways. I'll be driving soon, and I own a pair of ATH-M50s which sound amazing. Head-fi has taught me so much about headphones that I could, and planned on doing, a research paper on them. But I'd to learn more about car audio...- bobbert

IEMs
First,I'd like to say thank you to the Head-Fi community for educating me and enhancing my listening experience. I recently ordered a pair of ATH-M50s and they're amazing. But they do not isolate/detonate/cancel out as much noise as I'd like when I'm out. I miss my old pair of "Sony Earbuds"...- bobbert

Noise Canceling, Detoning, and Reduction?
It's really the common laundry noise, pipes, air vents. And if I'm on the go it's similar to a loud subway. Thanks.- bobbert

Noise Canceling, Detoning, and Reduction?
I found that what makes my listening expirience amazing is actually being able to HEAR my music. With the Audio Technica ATH-M50s I can't do that. There is so much background noise where I live and hangout that I cannot hear the fullness of the cans. The sound quality is amazing but I just can't...- bobbert

ATH-M50 Fakes?
Hey lads, I FINALLY (7 months later) decided that I want to purchase the ATH-M50. I'm not really rich so I shopped on Amazon and found them for 114$ (used - like new).. How high is the possibility of them being fakes? ~a newbie- bobbert

Will I need an amp to drive this well on my iPod? I'm deciding between these and the M-80s as I already have a pair of headphones for home use. I want something for on the go/working out and want a pair of on ear headphones. M-80 VS TMA-1?- bobbert

Hey, I'm looking for a new set of cans. I've looked at the ATH-M50, Sony MDR-XB500 (bought), Ultrasone Hfi-780, V-MODA products, Philips Uptown/downtown, and a lot others. I'm looking for something that I can wear in public (beats by dr dre solo size but without the 250$ name and sound) and not...- bobbert
