I found that what makes my listening expirience amazing is actually being able to HEAR my music. With the Audio Technica ATH-M50s I can't do that. There is so much background noise where I live and hangout that I cannot hear the fullness of the cans. The sound quality is amazing but I just can't hear all of it at once due to outside/ambient noise.
I need to find a quiet pair of headphones but that sound just as good as the athm50s for a cheap price (200$-) and that have low impedance..
Halp? :frowning2:

It's really the common laundry noise, pipes, air vents. And if I'm on the go it's similar to a loud subway.
Thanks.

Heya,

IEM might be the way to go for you, if you're able to tolerate them. You'll get better isolation with them than a full size headphone. Better quality per dollar too. And you can wear a headphone on top of them to further increase passive isolation.

Very best,
