    Etymotic 6i

While I was walking today, everything was OK. I also noticed that the tips are starting to form to my ear a little bit. I use the shirt clip too. It makes me feel a bit more protected from getting them ripped out of my ears accidentally - like whern I try to stretch for the printer. I'll...

    Etymotic 6i

I just picked up a pair of Etymotic 6i headphone last week and have been adjusting to them, as they are my first real inner ear headphones. It took a bit of time, but I can finally get a proper seal without piercing my eardrums. Now, I have noticed that they seem to slip out pretty quickly...

    Looking for a second pair

OK, I'm looking to isolate sound, but at the same quality (if not better) of the Alessandro/Grado’s set that I have. I'm not really that concerned about portability, but it would be a nice extra feature. If the sound quality would be less for the Etymotic series, I can't justify spendng more...

    Looking for a second pair

Thanks for the replies! I see that eBay has Etymotic Research ER-4P's (mainly for portable use), ER-4S's (audiophile use), or ER-4B's (Binaural recording use) $255 after shipping. They are new - I don’t think that I could put a used pair of anything in my ears, it’s just creepy to me...

    Noise cancelling

Yeah, I thought that they seemed to be a little ‘gimmicky’. Sure, if you are an Air Force pilot, they are probably a necessity. Unfortunately, they were the only ones that I could test drive at the Apple store. After visiting this site, I know that I am definitely not getting them from an Apple...

    Noise cancelling

I'm a newbie and want to get a hifi set of cans, so I have been reading through some of the threads here to learn what I can. I have noticed that noise canceling headphones are never really a topic. Is the noise canceling feature anything to consider or is it impractical? Thanks
