One of the kids, a teen is always breaking their headphones. What headphones have you given loads of abuse and they've lasted the longest? I guess somewhere around the 50 dollar mark. I rarely break headphones, so I've no experience of a good robust headset.

I have a set of these which I think sound great. But I could never get to fit right. One of the kids borrowed them and they are now not working in one ear. If anyone wants them before I bin them, let me know. No tips. I'll drop them in the post. Seems a shame to bin them.

The 6th gen have slightly larger battery. Curious why it does so badly on battery life. Have you checked yours isn't faulty.

I assume optical gives you WAV. Which is better quality. or if you want to convert to some other format in the future. If all you want is 320 then its more convenient to go straight to 320. I wonder is sonic stage good enough mp3 encoder these days.
