Alternatives for Triplefi 10's under 160$
I have the triple fi's and the phonak pfe 012 and I would say take a look at the pfe's more comfortable, cheaper and good sound...not as good as the triple fi's but very good sound.- seanmo

Looking for good rap, metal, techno for cardio workouts
ok, based on another thread I listened to some crystal method - tweekend...heck yeah, that will do nicely. Also listened to some five finger death punch...kind of entertaining. My search for new gym stuff is turning into a full on musical journey ;) -

Looking for good rap, metal, techno for cardio workouts
so I've started hitting the gym lately after a long absence and enjoying listening to music on my audeo PFE 012's while I do cardio workouts. I normally listen to mellower stuff and acoustic indie/low-fi type stuff (iron&wine, jack johnson, horse feathers, the shins, etc) but I find myself... -
Phonak Audeo (PFE) Thread
the cord has a lot of memory and gets twisted easily...and agreed that it doesn't like to be wrapped up to put in a case. No problems for me staying over my ears though...I tried the phonak ear guides which I had purchased previously, but really don't need them. I do wish the cord was better...- seanmo

Need new earphones: Torn between Tier 2C and 2B reviews
If you're ok with used I would try and score used triple fi's for $120-140ish...fit is often an issue with them though. Ive tried a few IEM's around $100 and they have the best sound quality around that price for my ears. The hje900's are very good but hard to find(fs forum has them every now...- seanmo

Why is creating a playlist for a Rbox'd Clip+ so difficult?
@stattsof - some music for my gym playlist I only have in that folder, other stuff I have the album on the DAP as well. To prevent 'doubling up' in the database, I have been dragging mp3's into my 'workout' folder and then changing all of the id3 tags for artist (since I normally navigatte my...- seanmo

IEM's to fall asleep with
I am able to sleep in my soundmagic pl50's and phonak PFE 012's (same design as the 112's) I had the se215's and they are comfortable enough to sleep in.- seanmo

New Shure SE215 - First Impressions
the bass does sound different to my ears, one is a dynamic one is a BA. The PFE is more punchy and tight but still very present...with the green filters I definitely wouldn't call them bass light. The 215's were a bass heavy IEM to my ears and the bass was very strong but not sloppy or...- seanmo

New Shure SE215 - First Impressions
I had the 215's and never fell in love with their sound signature. The lack of high end drove me nuts. I bought the 022's while I had the 215's and had them both briefly before I sold the 215's. I much preferred the PFE's to the 215's. The bass is better and the soundstage a little wider on...- seanmo

Why is creating a playlist for a Rbox'd Clip+ so difficult?
yes I think it will...I've done the folder thing and just used mp3 tag to change the artist on each of the songs to 'workout' that way I don't have copies of the same songs in my database- seanmo

MEElectronics M6 - muffled/hollow sound? Fit problem or bad set?
I wouldn't be surprised if there is a fair amount of sample variation in the cheap, mass produced meelec's...I bought a pair of m9p's a while back after reading good things and they sounded absolutely terrible. My m6p's however, sound great...good sound quality, good bass, decent highs...- seanmo

My headfi journey so far, and what's next on the horizon?
I would take a look at the phonak PFE's. GREAT fit (at least for me, but I'm not in the minority) very good sound and tunable so you can modify the sound if you like. Good isolation (especially with comply tips) and a two year warranty. I have the pfe 012's and like them a lot. I forget I'm...- seanmo

New Shure SE215 - First Impressions
soaa, totally agree on the treble performance...I sold mine. I'm not saying they stink, since a lot of people seem to really like them. The build quality is great and the bass is very good...I just didn't care for the sound sig at all...the treble just drove me crazy I much prefer my phonak pfe...- seanmo

Why is creating a playlist for a Rbox'd Clip+ so difficult?
yes I can browse the folders on my clip as if its an external drive, but I can't drag and drop into foobar...am I in the wrong drive mode? I'm just plugging it in and the OF comes up. Using windows 7 by the way. I have done the folder thing and it kind of works, but I had to rename and...- seanmo

Why is creating a playlist for a Rbox'd Clip+ so difficult?
I have had headaches trying to get playlists to work with my rockbox'd clip for gym use...should I be using 3rd party sofware? foobar? media monkey? is there a decent tutorial anywhere? I've looked and I am very computer/software saavy...I teach photoshop classes for gods sake, but making...- seanmo
