Well, just got them and they look awesome, they sound very good with the tips that were already in them (will try others later), but i don't really have any IEM's to compare to, I'll try to gather a few from friends to see the difference.

Thanks for your insight.   I've been reading some more stuff about headphones in general and i always seem to find something about headphones being cheaper than earphones of the same quality..... so i was like.. "w00t".   I don't know if they're talking about open or closed headphones or...
