Pioneer sx-780 for beyerdynamic dt990 250 ohm
I have a Pioneer sx-780 receiver and am wondering if the amp that powers the headphone jack is powerful enough for a headphone like the dt990. Right now all I have are ath-m50s and am looking at getting an open set of headphones as well. The receiver makes the m50s sound a ton better than just...- jecklc80

I currently have ath-m50s and am looking at getting a pair of open headphones such as the dt880s. What is a hood desktop amp/DAC setup that can drive both of those headphones? Sent from my Nexus S 4G using Tapatalk- jecklc80

ath-m50s now what
Do the e11 and the e17 have the same amp or are they different? Would the e17 drive the dt880 250ohm pro? Also why do they offer the same phones in 3 different ohm ratings? Does each one have a different sound to them even if they are driven properly?- jecklc80

ath-m50s now what
Well I think I've changed my mind. I'm going to go ahead and get a DAC/Amp right now and buy another pair of headphones in the future. Since my future headphones will probably require an amp anyways. I was thinking the e17 since it is both an amp and DAC and you can add on the desktop E09K in...- jecklc80

It's not a DAC though right? Do I need one like the E17 that is a DAC? I will mostly be using it from desktop computer and phone.- jecklc80

ath-m50s now what
Started with athm50s. Seemed to have pretty decent sound a little bass heavy sometimes. Looking for a new pair for Xmas. Under $200. I listen to mostly alt/indie rock. Any suggestions on where to start? Thanks Josh- jecklc80

New user with a question
Ok mainly they are going to be used for listening to music from my stereo or my computer but occasionally from my mp3 player. I know a lot of full size headphones need an amp if they are to be used with an mp3 player. I would rather them sound good through my stereo and comp and sacrifice some...- jecklc80

New user with a question
Hi all, I'm new to the forum and had a question for you all. I am looking for a decent pair of headphones but don't really know too much what to look for. My price range is $100 - $150. I'm looking for a full size set of headphones. I have looked at the Grado SR80i's and the AKG K141 MkII...- jecklc80
