Well since this spambot reminded me about this thread I guess I'll post an update.   I went to the closest Guitar Center a couple weeks ago where they had the SRH440s, SRH840s, the HD280 Pros, and the HD380 Pros. I listened to all four for a while, and found the 380s the most comfortable...

How do the SRH440s compare to the SRH840s or SRH750s? I was looking at the 840s, but read they were very bulky and heavy. Are the 440s more lightweight?

I've been looking around some more, any you're right, not many people have anything to say about these systems, unfortunately. I almost feel like I'd be better off getting an older PCDP after all, or some other older CD player.   Anyone have any input or suggestions in that area?   Thanks!
