Shure SE535: Reviews and First Impressions Thread
I bought from Earphone Solutions on 8/23/10 So I doubt they're in warranty. I wonder what the fix would cost. I am in Chicago, I'll have to check to see where a rep would be. edit: from the Shure sit, I think this is it - SE535 (L/R Earbud) $84.00- bscott

so I think I figured out the issue. The small post inside the earphone that has a recepticle hole in it is broken. There is only half remaining. I don't know how it got like that, and I don't know what to do. Can Shure fix that? I don't want to be out $500 :(- bscott

has anyone experienced loose connections after awhile between the cable and earphone? One side is cutting out randomly when my cables wiggle. When pulled apart it seems like there is a lot of dark oil in there - I'm wondering if it's a loose connection that is corroding?- bscott

Triple Flange tip fit problem
so, the triple flanges that came with my 535's were great, and took a very long time to get soft and deformed. I wouldn't mind the deformation except it kills the "plug" effect and hurts the sound eventually. However, the Shure replacement tips I've bought have deformed within weeks. Seems...- bscott

REVIEW (in progress) - Nuforce HDP 24/96 USB-Optical 24/192 Coax DAC Preamp and Headphone Amp
i'm not sure if this is kosher (and if it's not, please let me know) - but I am shifting my current focus to photography, and selling my HDP (black) in the classifieds here. So, if you're interested, it's a great price on a lightly used HDP like new :)- bscott

I have the same issue, I just have to adjust them to be more horizontal than I was used to with the 530's - then it seems to work fine.- bscott

REVIEW (in progress) - Nuforce HDP 24/96 USB-Optical 24/192 Coax DAC Preamp and Headphone Amp
I've never had boomy bass issues with the 650's. They are super neutral. If you're getting that, maybe it's in the original source material.- bscott

Shure SE535: Reviews and First Impressions Thread
Quote: I have the same issue. They're smaller and less smooth than the 530's, so the fit presses into your ear more. I suggest trying the triple flange tips, as they are pretty long and give a great seal, while keeping the 535's from pressing as much since they stick out some. You...- bscott

Shure SE535: Reviews and First Impressions Thread
@Music it truly could be fit issues. I found without trimming down my rubber plugs that the 535's were hitting a spot on my ear that really hurt even after a little while. They are smaller than the 530's and don't fit the same. Also, sound-wise, some people like super bass, which...- bscott

Nuforce shipping high performance USB and 3.5mm cables in 2 weeks
Quote: No, unless you are hearing cut-outs, all the data is there. If you are having issues then that's when you'd want to maybe try a new cable. It's like HDTV - if you aren't seeing macroblocking, you are getting all of the signal. There is no "degradation", the sound/picture is...- bscott

I can't imagine 2-3PM on IEM's. Unless you didn't have them plugged in your ears correctly. I can't go over that on my Senn 650's even.- bscott

FLAC vs. Apple Lossless
any reason I shouldn't just convert all FLAC to ALAC, line out from my iPod to an amp and call it a day? I don't see the need to use my clip+ with rockbox and only 8GB of storage when I have my 160GB classic.- bscott
