Best android music player app?
I tried quite a few about 6 months ago and settled on Neutron. To me, there was a noticeable difference in SQ over apps like Player Pro, PowerAmp and Winamp. Neutron's UI could certainly be a bit better, but once you get it down it's not so bad. Having said that, I am always on the lookout for a...- Trendkill

My wife and I just got our tax refund and I have the green light to spend some dough. My max budget is $500 (that includes an amp if needed) What I listen to: Opeth, Porcupine Tree, Pantera, Metallica, Megadeth, AC/DC, Alice In Chains, Soundgarden, ZZ Top, Boston, Zeppelin, Sabbath, Floyd...- Trendkill

Home stereo that allows you to hook up an external hard drive
Do these exist?! I have done some searching and I'm coming up empty. I would like to avoid having to go through my computer to listen to music if I can. My budget is $200. Is there anything out there that works for that price? Thanks.- Trendkill

I am looking for a new set of cans to (hopefully) keep me happy for a while. I listen to a lot of metal, but I enjoy most genres except for country and pop. The cans need to be closed and portable. Nothing too big, please. Soundstage is somewhat important, but not a huge factor. I am interested...- Trendkill

ATH-M50 Amp Suggestions
Quote: I think I am going to go with a PA2V2. I'll be using the LOD of my Fuze. I figure this is an inexpensive way to see if I like the amped sound or not. I can always upgrade if need be, plus I have other phones that may benefit from it. I appreciate all of the responses so far.- Trendkill

ATH-M50 Amp Suggestions
First off I would like to start off with a little background. I absolutely love Heavy Metal. I also like some Hip Hop and a little Jazz. Some of my favorite bands are Opeth, Lamb of God, Exodus, Shadows Fall and Mastodon. I just ordered the ATH-M50's due to the positive comments on here...- Trendkill

Another "Which headphones should I buy?" thread
Just want to say thanks again for all of the recommendations. I passed on the Grado's and decided to go cheap for the time being and ended up going with the Koss KSC75. I haven't listened to them long, but they sound pretty good right out of the package. I have the Brainwavz M1 and...- Trendkill

You know, I've thought about the PortaPros, but it seems like I could do a bit better for not much more $. I'll certainly have to look into it a bit more. I'm not sure if they are still available, but I saw some Grado 225's on the buy/sell here. Those seem to score high around here. ...- Trendkill

Thanks for the tips guys. I ordered the Brainwavz M1 yesterday, but I want a backup pair as well. I didn't specify whether I wanted IEM or OTE because I've had OTE phones that could handle some brutal workouts. I am definitely leaning towards IEM for my backup pair as well. I've...- Trendkill

My budget is roughly $75. I could go slightly higher if the quality warrants it. A 16gig Ipod Touch will be the primary source of music, but I will also use a Shuffle when I work out. Very rarely do I use my PC for any headphone listening. I'd prefer headphones that can be powered by these...- Trendkill

Apple iPod shuffle 1 GB Metal (2nd Generation) OLD MODEL
Apple iPod Shuffle - Using either witchcraft, fairy dust or highly gifted engineers (we're not sure which), Apple has created a 2nd generation iPod Shuffle of an almost impossibly small size. Only slightly bigger than a U.S. quarter, this teesy-weesy device packs 1GB of storage space. Enough...- Trendkill
