I saw a pair V6s for sale, for the first time today. This was sort of exciting for me. I've owned the V6 before but it was nice to be able to demo and hold a decent pair of headphones in person at a actual store. Not a lot of places sell headphones around here. 

I'd recommend the Sony 7506. They aren't technically known as basshead headphones but the bass is clear, deep and fast. It's not as boomy as the m50 but is way more controlled and faster. It makes music engaging and exciting. 

Has anyone tried the sheepskin ear pads for the v6/7506? how do they fit and do they change the sound? 

I'm not sure if it is because they are slightly squeezed into the new packaging but noticed that I had to give a little push in order to get them out of the packaging. On top of that, the cable seems to have tons of static when I plugged them into 3 different divices. This happened with two V6's...

Got these for christmas since my family knows I like headphones haha. Honestly, not bad. Very bass heavy but they don't cramp the mids as much as I remember the Solo HD's did. 

I guess mine are defective because they never lock into place. They rotate if I'm moving around.

So when connected, it shouldn't turn right to left? The plug when inserted isn't loose, just the locking mechanism on both ear cups and with both cables. 

Is the cable connector or "key" supposed to lock the cable into place? Once I connect the cable to the headphones and turn the connector into place, it doesn't lock in. It move around switches position. Is this normal?

This review basically sold me on them. They sound like everything I am looking for.      "I've been using HDH50 for a few months and it looks awesome, feels awesome, and sounds awesome. This what V6/7506, HD280pro, and HD380pro should have been. Flat-like tonal balance, not like ATH-M50...
