thanks. is the firmware for the d3020? is it for mac/apple?

say, i have the 3020, is there some FW upgrade available for Mac? i don't see anything anywhere for Mac/apple. do i have to rent a pc? (joke)   by the way, according to the flash, i have v2.5 right now   thanks folks

i have no idea.  my ears can't tell the difference. however, the sound was better and the "upconversion" (bit rates, whatever) was higher through usb (it worked for 5 minutes) on this denon pma-50 (i am currently demo-ing.)     i might post some impressions on the entire range of desktop gear...

i have that same gear and the same exact issue,  i have also recently been testing a denon pma-50 and the usb is silent.  my old and incredible aune x1 dac however was recognized and works fine through usb.  for now i've  switched to optical on everything

you CAN run active speakers.  the bose speakers have their own power,  although they will have a little plug meant to go directly into the pc.   if you want something cheaper: dacs with excellent headphone amps and very small form factor check out the AUNE X1 ($200) and AUDIO ENGINE D1 ($169)...

question for anyone regarding these nad d amps:   the d 3020 is rated at 30w at 8ohms, the larger d 7050 is rated at 50w at 4ohms.  does that not mean comparatively the d 7050 is actually less powerful at (25w at 8ohms)  or am i missing something?

i have a tiny head and i find the clamp to be significant, but not too much.  for example ath m50s = head crushers, m audio q40's = vice grips, d2000 = loosely perfect, d600 = tighter, perfect -1   i think you may have gotten a worked over, stretched out DEMO pair experience.  think about...

well, i've had a couple months with these (denon 600), and i must say i do like them.  i've gone back and forth on these thingies.  BUT, at least, they are very comfortable as were the 000s (i have the d2000 also)  comfort is essential, because when these go on my tiny head, they stay on there...

just listen to those d5000s in your pic and forget about these d600s   btw, i am enjoying the stupid bass on these 600s.   i'm listening to Bat for Lashes new record and it makes many booms.  it's like having beats without the shame of having beats.

if i would have waited one week i would have saved $80. if i would have bought them for $499 from amazon i would have returned them.....and to be honest, i would have then gone ahead and bought them again from fumfie for $339.  then i would feel like the fox who got the chicken.  the $80 would...

these headphones(d600) aren't that bad.  i'm still using them,  because they are still new to me.  i just wish i didn't drop $420 on them.  back when i got my d2000s i got them for $270 or something like that.  if i bought (my d600s) for $339 which is their current best price, i would feel...

i just google shopped these - don't know how reliable these joints are:   better planet (fulfilled by amazon) for $399   4electronic warehouse for $349   and 4 places came up with amazon search, all under $400

i think you got it exactly.  at the fumfie 339/349 price it is a good deal. at the msrp 499 not so much.  now have you considered keeping the d2000's?  you won't see them again.
