Yes indeed, the HA-1 does help keep us warm here during this miserable winter we are having in the Midwest !  I agree with you.  To my amateur ears (which thankfully, keep this hobby "relatively" within my monetary means!)  the HA-1 DAC/Amp combo is simply wonderful.

Ah, congratulations.  I owned that amp for several years and it's wonderful.  I preferred it with the Sophia 274b mesh plate rectifier tube....audio goodness....   I'm sure you got it in silver!

Thrang and I are definitely on the same wavelength regarding this.  BTW, I've only seen one opinion of the HD800/HA-1 pairing saying the sound was unbearable.  That has to be a hearing issue, equipment malfunction, or recordings that were downloaded from iTunes, IMO  :-)  I have never tried any...

With the P1 and the Roxanne's, you have a potent private listening experience for sure.....
