Couldn't resist. Pulled the trigger on a WA8. I'm primarily going to be using it with the Sennheiser HD800S. My concern is the pop sound. I can leave the headphones plugged in but as long as the volume is on 0 before turning it on or off, it should be fine? Do you still hear the pop at 0 volume?

I am using the balanced connection L and R with my Sony MDR-Z7. I guess I can try the single connection. It may be a capacitor issue. But no parts are available for repair when I called Sony and even the authorized dealer they gave me contact for said it can't be repaired. No parts.

I have the iSine 20 and the WM1A. Can you let me know which balanced cable you use are using and what EQ settings? Also have you heard them with the Cipher cable and then deduced that the balanced sound is better? Because those who have used them with Cipher say these turn into in ear headphones...

This is pretty tough. They're both pretty similar. AFC is one of the most comfortable earphones I've had. Aeon Flow closed are a bit more forgiving and better all rounders because of that. BUT AFC are much harder to drive and you need amps with muscle to run them. Both are lean in the bass...

Personally I think any vocal centric track these shine on. Maybe not the best for rap or EDM or metal. But when the recording is stellar these shine. So it really comes down to the recording. Which can be said for any speaker or headphones but the recording does come through very detailed
