RE-ZERO: Photos & First Thoughts - Now with Review Links!

M1s have a little more bass. Zeros have a quite tight and detailed bass. If you liked the M1s the ZEROs are a step up in detail and the mids of the ZEROS are more forward which is great for vocals. I dont have my M1s or ZEROs anymore , but this is how I remember them.

    Looking for new ~$50 IEMs

Who hasnt had the koss plugs ? I had them too. M2s over the PL50s. More fun and much better bass.

    Guys with RE0s & RE-ZEROs chime in

The RE0s seemed dryer in the mids to me and the ZEROs more forward and fluid in the mids. The lows to me seemed pretty similar, both responded to EQ in the Lows. The RE0s extend higher, but could seem quite harsh to me at times. The ZEROs handles the highs nicely though. The magic is in...

    tips for RE0s

I think you should try some fake sony hybrids. Alot of members think hybrids are the best for the RE0 http://cgi.ebay.com/earbud-replacement-SONY-EP-EX10A-/160544429459?pt=Other_MP3_Player_Accessories&hash=item2561319593

    Sony NWZ-A846 Review

Quote: I agree. With the A828 i can feel the buttons because they pertude from the body so when its in my pocket i dont have to take it out to select the next song or adjust volume or put the hold on.

    Best portable source for RE-ZEROs?

Ive had both RE0 and RE-ZEROs and i preferred the ZEROs on all my DAPs. The mids are more fluid and less dry than the RE0s IMO. The Walkmans "Clear Bass" really helps bring out the lower end of the ZEROs so if you can take it to a Sony shop try them on a walkman. The clip+ (rockboxed) also...

    tips for RE0s

Quote: Interesting. I bought a meelec M3 tip set about a 10 months ago and the biflange was a little smaller and softer than the small RE0 biflange. maybe they've changed.   Ive used fake Sony Hybrids too and they work well too if you get the right size.

    Sony NWZ-A846 Review

Nice review Mark. I still have and love my A828 even though it is a little hisser on Low Impedance. The v-jays are getting a good run on it now. Its a good match v-jays, short cord, walkman. Apparently everything coming from Sony to Europe and UK is volume limited. Absolutely crazy

    V-Jays Review

Yes Mark, I think they are good value for the price.   "seanmo" Im not getting any bothersome microphonics (not like some of my past iems). I like the short cord as I always put my walkman in my top pocket and with the short cord i dont need a shirt clip. I found the pressure against...

    V-Jays Review

Just got my v-jays and out of the box they are very impressive. Brighter than the PX100s in mids and highs (they actually remind me of my RE-ZEROs or even the RE0s in this range) The Bass extends lower than the PX100s although the PX100s are darker and have more in the mid bass. I agree with...

Great Review Mark. Sold my RE-ZEROs and ordered the V-Jays. I am looking forward to comparing them to my PX100s.

    Quality EQ apps for ipod/iphone/ipad

Hi Audioforge. Good work with this App. It makes my 2G Touch enjoyable to listen to. Ive been very happy with version 2.13 of "Equalizer" it is very stable on the 2G Touch. I couldn't resist to try 2.25 though now it only runs the 3 bands, however every 2nd song it chops it up. If i hit...

    Another PX100 vs PortaPro thread

Haven't tried the porta pros, but i'm happy with the px100s. I tend to think the px100 are a little warmer than neutral, but the highs are still quite crisp.

    Planes, Trains and Automobiles

Its not just the tips. The Etys have a sealed body as well as well as deep insertion. Also look at the Klipsch X5s or X10s with the dual flange gels. Their great isolation IEMs too

    Klipsch Image X5

I had the X5s for about 3 or 4 months. The sleeves are thin, but i treated them with kid gloves and had no issues. Some people have had issues with the sleeves cracking and so i was always very delicate when handling them and at one stage even put insulation tape around the sleeves. I have...
