Advanced Sound Model 3 Impressions Thread
I just run these out of my iPhone 7 Plus, nothing high end source wise. I've used both the bluetooth and wired cables. Found bluetooth to sound better than I thought though not quite as loud as the wired option which isn't surprising. I've changed the tips from what I was using (Westone Grey...- Onza

Advanced Sound Model 3 Impressions Thread
So I've just received them today and have managed to spend a bit of time with them on the evening. No issues with build quality or fit - all seems fine. The way the BT cable is designed is a little novel (the BT adapter hangs below the main cable as a pendant) but I can live with that also...- Onza

Advanced Sound Model 3 Impressions Thread
Been out of the iem search game for a few years but I lost my walkabout iems (shure se215 with Bluetooth cables) and have been looking for a similar priced alternative. Thank goodness I stumbled on this thread.. I've just placed an order. Hope it doesn't disappoint!- Onza

NAD Viso HP20 In-Ear
Used these for close to 2 weeks. Overall I was impressed with the sound. These earphones are under appreciated for what they deliver. They're built like tanks and seem like they could take a serious beating (though I baby my IEMS). I find the overall sound very powerful but never lacking in...- Onza

W3 VERSUS W30 - - EXCITING NEWS!
Nice impressions Spyro. I was also a huge fan of the W3, the mid range was indeed a little recessed compared to bass and treble, but I never personally found it an issue. W3s turned out to be my best universal after a few years trying many iems. I still have my W3s here, though one earpiece has...- Onza

Westone 3 Impressions Thread
I love the W3s. They are the only universal iems I've stayed with for more than 1.5years which is saying something! I still haven't tried the W4 but reading the impressions many have given, I think I'm just right with the W3s. The lively, warm sound completely suits my music tastes. The only...- Onza

HTC One X
I considered the One X but the Wolfson dac of the S3 plus all that storage is the dream combination for anyone wanting good sound from their mobile phone. It's about time too, my galaxy S2 had very average sound quality.- Onza

Westone 3 Impressions Thread
My Westone 3s were the only IEMs that have satisfied my cravings for good sound from a non-custom IEM. I tried all the other big hitters and have been using the W3s for over a year! Having said that I haven't tried the W4 but then I don't really feel I need to - esp judging by what some have...- Onza

Bowers & Wilkins in-ear headphones = C5
One point on your linked review, you score them 4/5 stars for value and finish off by saying they didn't hit the mark for value.. I'd argue that 4/5 sounds like pretty good value for phones that didn't hit the mark... Maybe more a 3 or even 2/5? Just a comment...- Onza

Bowers & Wilkins in-ear headphones = C5
Good to see such a refreshingly honest review. I suspect you've saved a few head-fiers a couple hundred bucks... I'm a big fan of B&W speakers, its a shame they haven't managed to pivot and deliver outstanding earphones and headphones so far. Regardless, like the P5s, these will probably...- Onza

Westone 3 Impressions
Quote: Thanks, these are indeed great phones and are still my favourite BA universal. I think a lot of people look past them as there are newer IEMs which invariably take the lime light such as the W4 (which admittedly I'm yet to try). Glad you're enjoying them!- Onza

Shure SE215 Review
Quote: I'm finding this too, aside from the bass there isn't anything thats particularly stand out about these phones, but I do enjoy them. On another note I see you got rid of your W4s? Did they not cut it for you in the end?- Onza

Shure SE215 Review
Purchased a set of these today and I have to say I'm quietly impressed. The build quality is identical to the top of the line SE535 - serious cabling that's detachable and heavy duty strain relief on the mini plug and the headphone splitter. I dont think the fit will be for everyone, but so far...- Onza

android vs. iphone for sound quailty?
I got hold of the Samsung Galaxy S 2 two days ago and I have to say this device is pretty phenomenal. Regarding the sound instrument separation is just as detailed as it was on the iPhone 4 but I think it has better bass extension and a wider sound stage. It drives my Westone 3s just as well as...- Onza

Westone 4 Impressions and Reviews Thread
Quote: Oooh high praise for these W4's indeed. The W4s definitely sound appealing even though I'm still considering getting customs on top of these.. I guess the fact that you've put the UM3Xs up for sale so quickly speaks volumes. You indicate the difference between the ES3X and the W4...- Onza

Congrats on the purchase music_4321. Interesting early impressions and pics also. Slightly surprised that the W4s nozzle aren't as long as I hoped, they look more or less the same as the W3. Would you say they isolated equally as well as the UM3X? Interested in further impressions of how the W4s...- Onza

Great set of impressions so far. Has anyone tried the W4 with UM56 tips? Larry?? Would be v interested to note how the W4 with these tips compare to customs: are they in the same ball park? I wouldn't want to go down the route of customs if its possible to get a comparable sound with high...- Onza

[Review] Future Sonics MG6PRO Ear Monitors: Dynamic Driver Custom-Fit In-Ear Monitors
Great engaging review. I'm tempted to take the plunge with customs at some point this year and these have certainly peaked my interest (along with the ES5 and UE18). The way you describe their cohesiveness and timbre is a big attraction. I should really try and demo some FS's in the near future...- Onza
