Geek Pulse: Geek desktop DAC/AMP by Light Harmonics
Saw this edit comment and just want to add a complementary view: Larry Ho the designer did mention that the LPS helps more with Pulse fi than with the Pulse Xfi or Sfi. Not sure about standard Pulse, but I'd think having a clean power supply should be more important than getting the noise...- ms142

Verdict on Linear Power Supplies? (LPS)
Looks quite a bit more sophisticated than the average DIY LPS: http://geek.lhlabs.com/media/kunena/attachments/42/lps_nichicon2.jpg from: http://geek.lhlabs.com/force/geeklps/1571-lps-power-supply-caps.html?limitstart=0- ms142

New simple mod for Yuin earbuds
Recently found a simple mod for my PK2 that works surprisingly well. I understand that Yuin buds are slightly falling out of fashion on head-fi, but I'm still curious to see if other users notice the same difference and if this unleashes further potential in the buds. There are two slot...- ms142

Possible to Recable HD 238?
Any luck with your recabling? Is the standard Mogami too thick? I wonder how the single entry affects the job since you have to route wires to the right side through the head band.- ms142

Sonicweld/Cryo-Parts Diverter 96/24 USB to SPDIF Review
Hm, I have a suggestion for Scootermafia: As you know, the Musiland unit is the very cheap ($60?) and does 24/192. Its main disadvantage as you pointed out is that it supports PC only. If you can afford the Sonicweld, $60 should be trivial... You might satisfy everyone's curiosity if you can get...- ms142

NOS DAC - Marketing BS?
I think it's unfair to say he's protecting his business if he's not right (I own a NOS DAC, btw). We know for sure, from an engineering perspective, that new DACs are better than NOS in SOME ways. That's what Lavry pointed out. Because of our limited understanding of psychoacoustics, however...- ms142

Valab NOS DAC - subjective listening and modifications
A newbie question: It seems that a lot of people have doubts about spdif reclocking circuit of the mid 2009 version, so is there a simple way to bypass it?- ms142
