Tried it...the dirt and dust are so old they do not move. Is there any liquid that I could wash the thing out with? what If i use water then let it sit for a month or two to dry?

I've inherited an excellent 1980's power Yamaha amp and the thing is absolutely filthy inside. I have try wiping up much of the think dust and dirt but most of it remains in the cracks, crevices, wires and on the boards. Of course I can't wash it out with water, but is there something I can use...

Could someone explain "low impedance headphones"? All Grado headphones are .32ohms and not sure how that relates to sound quality? Thanks!

I heard that hybrids are not true tube amps and that I would not be getting the true tube sound. Also heard a bit about the low quality of little dot and its sound?

The source is a analog CD player "Sony d25". I would like to spend less then $400 and have no idea if that is a realistic amount.

The reason people are still looking is the battery powers the Sony D-25, one of the best sounding portables ever made. Lithium batteries will work, but they cannot be charged by the device and may destroy it if the CD player discharges them too deep.

It's not really a good idea to charge Li-ion batts in an old Sony CD player that was intended for Lead-acid as it could destroy the battery and the unit. I called the Remote place and that actually don't have that model remote any longer
