No it works with In1 and Out1 for balanced, I know that the manual says something different. Even looking at the back of the unit, the labelling for the balanced outs are "IN 1 R and IN 1 L" suggesting Input1 for balanced rather than Input2. For my balanced cable that I bought, it doesn't indicate which wire is for left or right headphone. Does it matter which one I put them into as they are not labelled? They do have a colored plastic piece (one black and one clear)

At the moment I just have my headphones plugged straight into the rear input of my computer using either my HD 598 CS or Sennheiser game zero. The hd598 Cs sounds better to me with this setup using 7.1 speaker selection

I think I'll probably go with the DROP grace since it is recommended by audiosciencereview and is a good budget option thats balanced. I'll pull the trigger nearing when my amp arrives :)
