If anyone has used socket savers for their amp, does the one on the right stick up above the left one? I for one cannot push the one on the right further down- Basick

Loxjie P20 Discussion- Starved for information on this thing!
Wow thank you for such a detailed response! Yes, I've tried running the setup single ended both ways, either connected to the DAC or straight into the computer. Only way I get to utilize the soundblaster x-fi is through the connection from the loxjie straight into the computer's 3.5mm rear port...- Basick

It looks like the manual is just wrong, he also had the same issue. So the balanced setup should be In1 and Out1- Basick

No it works with In1 and Out1 for balanced, I know that the manual says something different. Even looking at the back of the unit, the labelling for the balanced outs are "IN 1 R and IN 1 L" suggesting Input1 for balanced rather than Input2. In comparison, the single ended RCA inputs on the back...- Basick

Am I right in saying that when using an external dac, you are bypassing the onboard audio? Therefore will not be able to use the Realtek HD Audio Manager or the Soundblaster X-Fi MB3? I keep getting this message pop up everytime:- Basick

Am I supposed to have drivers installed? I'm thinking the sound just doesn't sound as good because my soundblaster x-fi MB3 isn't being used since it has the "crystallizer, bass boost, equalizer" all on it. Now running it straight through my DAC I suppose it doesn't use the software stuff...- Basick

Ok so I've just received my DROP Grace SDAC balanced, and have been trying to run my entire setup through balanced connections with my loxjie amp but I just can't get it to work properly! I have the DAC plugged into my motherboard via the USB that was in the packaging, and balanced XLRs into the...- Basick

Best headphones that I can get for under $400 dollars CAD
For my balanced cable that I bought, it doesn't indicate which wire is for left or right headphone. Does it matter which one I put them into as they are not labelled? They do have a colored plastic piece (one black and one clear)- Basick

What do you guys use for music listening on your headphones? Stereo or 7.1?
At the moment, I've just tested the two headphones straight to the back i/o port into my motherboard (Gigabyte z97x-gaming 3)- Basick

What are the benefits of having higher resistance on headphones? If it's paired with an amp that can drive them, do they ultimately produce better sound quality?- Basick

What do you guys use for music listening on your headphones? Stereo or 7.1?
Yes! I have the 4xx with a p20 and grace balanced DAC coming. But that's interesting to hear how just using the stereo setup is best. So I'm assuming the 7.1 just distorts the original sound and possibly degrades the quality of music? I did notice that when switching over to my game zeros...- Basick

What do you guys use for music listening on your headphones? Stereo or 7.1?
At the moment I just have my headphones plugged straight into the rear input of my computer using either my HD 598 CS or Sennheiser game zero. The hd598 Cs sounds better to me with this setup using 7.1 speaker selection- Basick

I'm curious to see what everyone uses, through testing I seem to get more clarity and overall better sound quality when switching the mode to 7.1 speakers rather than stereo. I'm switching my modes through my Realtek HD Audio Manager- Basick

iFi audio ZEN DAC - EISA Award Winner 'Best Value DAC 2020-21!
Question: I am thinking of pairing this DAC with a Loxjie P20 Balanced Amp. If I connect this DAC via 4.4mm to dual XLR into the AMP, where I would plug in my HE-4XX into the amp via balanced. I'm confused as to which mode to put the DAC on, "fixed" or "variable"? And would I still be able to...- Basick

ifi Zen Dac vs Drop Grace Balanced Hey guys, these two DACs are balanced and relatively the same price. Does this DAC not play well with games? I'm not a super competitive gamer and I just play casually, so I don't mind. I'm just curious why a certain DAC may not pair well with games Thanks- Basick
