I think every "combo" producer call their combo's that way. They do not always price it that cheap though.- Edoardo

Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up
Hi Jason, My idea for an end-game preamp would be an active stereo preamp AND monitor controller to put between the sources and the monitors (or power amp), but also between the sources and the headphone amp(s) featuring: A) Multiple FIXED-volume line-level outs that would just connect...- Edoardo

I've been away for a while ... closed-back HD600/HD650 soundalikes?
In the end I think I will find myself spending 100 extra €uros for a pair of Momentum. Well, they do look cool, and are also mic'ed!!! I still hope not to have to though. I don't spend that kind of money in stuff I throw around and that carry in a bag with lots of other stuff etc.- Edoardo

I've been away for a while ... closed-back HD600/HD650 soundalikes?
Hi man, thanks for your answer Actually, in my mind, fatiguing would mean just "tiring, exhausting, draining"... I've never associated it to any particular frequency range. Just to closed-back headphones LOL. I think a flat headphone can be as annoying and tiring as a sharp one. I think...- Edoardo

I've been away for a while ... closed-back HD600/HD650 soundalikes?
Hi everyone, I'm back! And my reference rig would still be my Lehmann clone + my Sennh HD650s! Why? I would need you guys and girls to suggest me a pair of closed-back, over-ear headphones for portable use, - "unamplified"!!! - (i.e. to be used with a smartphone in a library) that I...- Edoardo

I don't get whether one will be able to switch between the Loki, the Mani and a DAC of choiche without another switcher.- Edoardo

New Schiit! Ragnarok and Yggdrasil
OMG We do not collect downloaded mp3s. We collect CDs, DVDs, BRDs, rip them on an Hard Disk and playback them from there. We also pay the download of HD audio files. You know, Hard Disk playback offers not only higher quality playback, compared to optical devices, but also gives a much...- Edoardo

New Balanced Schiit Amps? The information and anticipation thread.
Hey, chill out. The question was... Would not another Shiit balanced SS amp be redundant? no, because of other different features that do improve sound quality. I don't know where you're from and it is not my business!- Edoardo

Quote: Well, I think that making an SS version of the statement amp does make sense. Relay-switched stepped volume control makes a significant technical upgrade, as each relay is matched. And I don't think it's the only upgrade that is gonna come. I'm not...- Edoardo

Schiit DACs (Bifrost and Gungnir down, one to go)? The information and anticipation thread.
Quote: Man, as it is built, the Gungnir itself could cost 2000$ and be worth every penny. Find me a DAC with clock regeneration, separate 44.1 and 48 KHz multiples clocks, double DAC stages, balanced FET output stages... and if you are able to, tell the price. Or if you wish...- Edoardo
