Testing them using Hires of Lorde , pure heroine. They piss on the sr325x , they sound muddy compared to these. Think flats on sr325x are killing the detail levels.

Got my first X series, sr325x , these flats really are excellent pads. The X is far better sounding than my 325e. I love the e and I'm shocked at how much better the X sounds. Putting flats on e doesn't help either.

Spoke too soon, silicon's slide about a bit when on the move. Ordered some Comply tx400 , they work great on my Shure true free wireless. The sennheiser foamies are beyond awful, rob the sound of any sub bass, the silicon's defo sound much better. Shame they feel like they are dipped in flour.

Got mine today, got them from sennheiser outlet for £135 , refurbs but package was brand new as far as I could tell. Largest silicon works best for me, the foamies are a weird shape, like a tiny biscuit tin, no pointed end at all!! Anyhoo sound great so far, silicon tips brought the bass out...

Amazed how much balanced makes to these cans. It takes the mods and treble and moves it much more into focus. Didn't expect such a difference.

Got my Q3 and have it stacked with my m9. Wasn't sure if the DAC in Q3 would be better than dual 4490 in M9 and I really like the warmth of the M9 but Q3 is clearer sounding and still warm! Loving it.

This doesn't look to me like liquid damage, the board would be white/grey, looks almost like heat damage

Done a little digging and the black driver has been in use since around Jan 2021 (another user questioned it on Grado fan club thread) , Grado are keeping shtoom, they say engineering and marketing don't give them that kind of info.
