Looking to buy a new pair of earphones; frustrated with my SE-530s

I am out of warranty.  I called them, told them the problem, and they told me that because I had them repaired in the last year, I got a new one-year warranty.  So all I have to do is send them in with my previous warranty order number, and they'll send me a new pair of SE-535s.

Looking to buy a new pair of earphones; frustrated with my SE-530s

I just called Shure.  They said they'd give me a pair of SE-535s as a replacement for my current earphones, so this thread is now unnecessary.  Thanks so much though!

Looking to buy a new pair of earphones; frustrated with my SE-530s

Ah.  I'm aiming more towards the Westones because of the price.  Is there a huge difference between the 3s and the 4s?

    Shure E530 vs Westone 3

Thanks so much! I think I'm getting the Shures. Also, you said the sound gets a bit grainy when hooked up to a poor source. Would you consider hooking the earphones directly into an iPod without an amp a poor source?

    Shure E530 vs Westone 3

Thanks. My two main genres that I listen to are progressive rock and metal. I tend to enjoy being able to hear every instrument while listening to progressive rock, with the vocals at the front and everything else (bass, guitar, synth, drums, etc.) at approximately the same level, unless it's...

    Shure E530 vs Westone 3

My Bose earphones just broke for the second time in a year and a half. I had been considering purchasing high-quality earphones for a while, but this was the final straw. I have enough money to purchase either the Shure E530s or the Westone 3s. I listen to any genre of music you can think of...
