    1964 Ears Adel IEMs

I'm kind of in the same boat, although I am pledged for the U8's right now...not sure if I want to switch out for the 6. I had the 4R as well, and switched to the 3 and W30, which both have more bass than the 4R, but at times I still thought the bass wasn't enough for my liking...I don't know...

    1964 Ears Adel IEMs

Add me to the backers list! Just pledged for a U8. Super excited!   I lost the left earpiece of my W30s a couple days ago, which pretty much was the saddest day of my audio history, as I loved that set. Anyway, I started browsing around, and got onto the subject of potentially going for...

What is like the IE7, with awesome mids AND a nice warmness, yet with more clarity on bass and treble...

I'm going to be receiving my UM3Xs later this week and am going to be comparing them to my IE7s. I'll post my impressions here or on a new thread. From what I've read though, the UM3X is a pretty balanced iem so it'll be interesting to compare them to the IE7, which is the most balanced out of...

Recommendations for an upgrade from IE7?

Yeah I was kind of thinking the same thing. I actually found a sweet deal on the FS section here for some UM3Xs, so I think I'll go with those. General consensus seems to be that the UM3X is a better all-rounder than the W3, and since it'll be cheaper than both options that I listed, that makes...

Recommendations for an upgrade from IE7?

Hey guys,   I haven't been on here in quite a long time, but it seems the line ups for IEMs haven't changed too much over the past couple years.   Anyway, I'm looking to upgrade my IE7s to something else, and I am kind of torn between a couple choices. Mainly the Westone 3 and the Shure...

Shure - SRH750DJ Professional Headphones Review

I just picked up the 750Djs, my first full size cans Overall, I love the sound signature. It really reminds me of my Sennheiser IE7, just with more soundstage and more bass, which I assume is a result of it being a full can instead of an IEM. And for $125 CAD, not a bad deal at all. Good...

    Sennheiser IE7 Appreciation Thread ~~~

So, after about 4-5 months of having my broken IE7s gathering dust on a shelf, I finally decided to mail them into Sennheiser to see about getting them fixed. A week and a half later, I was greeted with a brand new set of IE7s, and dear god I missed the sound...I've been listening to my backups...

    IEMs for live musician: Recommendations?

I'm not too familiar with the models you listed, but I did want to just ask, have you looked into some customs? I mean, they are a bit more expensive, but that might be what you are really looking for. Just a thought.

Apple IEM - most underrated IEMs on the market

Just got a pair of ADDIEMs yesterday as backups to my IE7s since those are going in for repair. They remind me a lot the Phonaks, very balanced and neutral. Bass is obviously less than the IE7, but there's enough. They are a lot better than I was expecting, so I might be keeping these as a...

    Sennheiser IE7 Appreciation Thread ~~~

The IE series seem to "require" a lot more burn in compared to other dynamics. It took mine about 200-250 to fully develop. My IE7s are going back to Sennheiser to be repaired/replaced unfortunately. The left channel has half the volume of the right, and it's really annoying hearing lopsided...

Oh, interesting. When I opened mine up, the green threads weren't tight, they were kinda spread out... I was actually hoping to gain access to the nozzle, because the mesh has gotten pushed in or something, so I wanna try pushing it back out to normal. Do you know a way to get access to it?

Well at least for me, it cant be dirty ears, because I don't get that weird volume problem with my IE7s.

It depends on if you can get a proper seal wearing them straight. They aren't made to fit like that, and if you reverse the L and R pieces, it's still not made to be worn that way. Why don't you just wear them the way you are supposed to? It seems like you're just complaining.

buying a new pair soon. doing it right this time.

On the contrary, the IE7s seal very well, the thin tips and the way they are made make them not isolate as well. Seal is totally judged by your ears and the tips you use to create the seal. The PFEs are amazing, don't let anyone say any different. They do need an amp to really shine because...

Oooh...tough one to be honest. I'm listening to the Turbines right now, trying to burn them in...but so far, the biggest difference is the isolation. I didn't believe everything I had read, so now that I have actually listened to it, the IE7 seems to not isolate anything in comparison lol...
