Necro bump for the original R6. :) @Joe Bloggs I picked mine up off charge earlier and it was hot. I’ve seen the back has come away. I’m not too comfortable charging and using it now for obvious reasons. Can anything be done or is it destined for the bin. I hope not!

I have Apple Music on my HiBy R6. Works perfectly today. But this is the official release only and doesn’t support the new lossless upgrade.

Ok. Another short update. Listening to Apple lossless on iPhone. Using the X1 -> ifi iematch > Fearless S8F and I’m absolutely blown away by what my phone is doing today compared to a month ago. Bravo.

Got my x1. Unfortunately the cable iOS is faulty. Dead. Two phones. Nothing. Not even register for the phone that something is plugged in. Luckily I have an alternative. It’s pretty good. It’s a shame there is nothing to indicate the bitrate. Sounds good though. Now I have the pain of going back...

What’s possible on windows/iTunes? Anyone know.

I don’t think it can. You need the Apple camera connection kit and then a usb A to whatever DAC input required. Or a specific cable with the same chip in it. I really think Apple will make a 24/196 version of their dongle at some point.

Ok. So started at track 17 to be sure. Listened to the end of track 21. It just played seamlessly. I assume that’s enough as the reported errors was 18-25? This was reported as lossless using the Apple dongle. Not possible to connect to better DAC at the moment sorry. Hope that’s enough for you?
