Just your regular ipod, no DAC. He isn't the kind of person to go on these forums, so something low impedance.- tomkang

Headphones advice for a friend that enjoys listening to pop and musical soundtracks
Hello, I am looking for a pair of closed over-ear or on-ear headphones up to a budget of £100/$150. This is a birthday present for a friend who mostly listens to pop music and some OST's from musicals.- tomkang

The m-80s just arrived after a delay. First impressions are very good, solid build quality, nice extras such as the case and carabiner. The initial couple of hours on and off were a tad uncomfortable due to the hand band clamping, however that has improved and now feels good for longer...- tomkang

Quote: Ya it's fixed. I just purchased my m-80s from amazon. I went for the Black one because it was cheaper. The only difference is the colour of the gear: Headphones, Cables, Case. Both come with a 3 button cable for idevices and an one button one for android.- tomkang

Just ordered the v-80 over the m-80 solely on the basis that it has an audio-only cable without the mic. I have a 2007 ipod classic that cannot use any inline features and been hearing that the mic messes with devices that cannot support it. Somewhat annoyed because it cost a tad more, but I do...- tomkang

I was just wondering how these compare to the Sony MDR-EX50LP, which I currently have as cheap earbuds for gym. Regardless I bought the monoprice for £10- tomkang
