The Talon series is the lightest of all Osprey series and it shows in the suspension, among others. It's a bit minimalistic though still very comfortable. It miraculously held eveything i needed for a lightweight overnighter, i kept being amazed over and over.... Including 3 liters of water i...

I've got an osprey talon 24. It's a great pack. Mostly use it as daypack. The coming weekend I'll be using it for an overnight hike in the Belgian aredennes. I never expected it to fit the stuff I'm gonna take but it actually does :), Well that is if the forecast changes. Current load is with...

    knife-fi?

Odin's the man :) I'm not sure but nowadays everyone thinks of knives as weapons. My friends know carry a knife but almost everyone else seems shocked when pulling out a folder for some utility task. If you want some self defense I'd Google "kubaton". Can be easily incorporated to a keychain...

All the requirements you mention are better found in a 3" fixed blade. And it'll still be easy to carry

haha it wasnt a religion-based comment :) I also know what they mean and i dont care for religion, not in a positve way at least but thats another topic not for these boards. I just like the skull and cross just for the looks, just like you . But its good to know where things you use actually...

Quote: You really have to bring the modules up again, didn't you  So he really outdone his himself on the GS-X, i'd love to hear one some day. Same goes for his electrostat amps...   Justin, how long do you think you are offering the new modules, someone is gpulling me over to get...

Oooooh a hinderer :) You sir, have taste. I love the skull and cross nuts! Although with a HEST/f and a large sebby I don't really have an urge for a new knife, the lionsteel SR1 or hinderer xm18 are on my shortlist for when I have money to burn. For those not familiar with lionsteel; they did...

    The GS-1 Thread

MH; How does the gs-1 compare to the gs-x? Is it a gs-1 on steroids or an entirely different animal? Because honestly I'm not sure how the GS-1 can be beaten in what it's famous for.

    The GS-1 Thread

I've read that, and added to the glory somewhere near the last pages :) Seem to have missed that testament. maybe because I didn't expected or because my crying wallet didn't allow me to see it :p. Everyone weeks to yell the hd800 is picky and I only hear about good matches with expensive amps

Quote: Hmmmmm food for thought...   btw; Did you get a change to try the HD-800 before you sold the GS-1? I'm wondering how it pairs

    The GS-1 Thread

You make a solid argument  The hesitation is twofold; On one side i do want to get it since the GS-1 feels like the end-game SS amp for me and 200 bucks isn't that much. On the other hand, will it really make an improvement since it was designed purely to beef up the amp for ortho's.  ...

I'm considering if I should get the upgrade while it's still available, it's tempting... Received it already? The improvement over the headphone out will baffle you haha. However with the headphone out straight into the GS-1 you're not even close to hearing what it can do.
