Damn, Bose 35 ii sound great. Best low impedance headphones I heard and best for listening on the go from a phone. Better sounding than Beyerdynamic DT770 32ohm or Custom One which are 16ohm. They sound close to well powered high impedance headphones.

I don't have low impedance headphones. This amp has around 0.1ohm on output that bodes well for low impedance high sensitivity headphones.

I use Beyerdynamic DT990 premium 250 ohm usually. I don't think the full features of big Phonitor are worth the price difference and the bulkiness.

So the tubes arrived. C3G do not much my Beyerdynamic DT880 headphones at all, bass is bloated and poorly controlled, Voshod perform much better, also they (c3g) don't sound much off some bassy ef95 tubes. it's my problem with beyerdynamic DT770/880/990 cans that most tubes make them sound too...

I also connected DC adaptor from Dacmagic Plus to the old Dacmagic, but it must be a lesser crime for it has survived :) Honestly, you don't hear such stories very often here, do you?

Hi I connected my maple psu 12V 3A to my Dacmagic Plus rated 12V 2A and I never heard from it again. I had used and I am still using the maple psu with my old Dacmagic (non plus) that is rated lower 12V 1.5A.  Have I burnt my DAcmagic plus with the maple psu?

OK, thx Just ordered a pair of c3g and 6SN7 with all adapters. I took 6SN7 vintage Sylvania nice looking black plate, chrome top, moderately priced, I doubt they affect quality really so want them to be lookers :)

So I think of using 6SN7s as power tubes on adapters and with them c3g as drivers on appropriate adapters as well. Could you please confirm it's sensible and no other devices are needed to make it work? I am a bit afraid that it is all overkill for headphones and those tubes are rather for...
