Yep, the codec only allows for CD quality. That is good enough for me even though I can at times and with certain music think I can tell the difference. Where the differences noted have usually been in how much air or openness the track presents to me.- slwiser

My Tach T1 has opened up a bit since receiving them, much closer to my wired over the ear Momentum now. Nice little headphones. I am not sure what the reference to them not being hi-res?. They have a long playing time.- slwiser

I have been using a QY8 branded as Coulax during my exercise lately and they have been doing very well staying in. I think these are a clone of some other brand if you don't want a clone. I purchased off Amazon. Very inexpensive around 27$.- slwiser

Direct comparison wth the Sennhesiaer Over the Ear Momentum wired indicates the Tach has a slighty less bit of clarity but still very competitive. The bass may also have a little less clarity. The Tach feels like it has less air and a bit more closed but not so much to make any difference to me...- slwiser

Pendulumic Tach Ti uses this protocol. I have a set and am enjoying it now. I also have their aptx component that plugs into any source to transmit CD qualtiy signals.- slwiser

The Pono Player Impressions Thread
Just got my Ponoplayer. Big issue is moving files onto it for me. My beta Ponoplayer World does not see my computer's attached SD drive with my High res files on it. Sounds good, maybe equal to my DX100. It is not as solid though.- slwiser

I am listening to my iPad with the Accuido software into my Amperiors single ended....I have to say this software provides a nice kick in the quality level.- slwiser
