Ipod classic - rockbox - its happening.
The build with the new USB DesignWare driver is working very well for me, every connect to a pc works instantly (no more hit or miss like before). Transfer speeds are higher and more consistent for me as well. Great work!- r100

Cool story brah. Just kidding Actually this is a great option to have a spare iPod for modding purposes, such as CF/SD adapter mod or those rare ZIF SSDs.- r100

Windows 7 64 bit, iPod Classic 160GB thin with 2.0.4 in iTunes. It took me a while to realize that I needed iTunes to still be installed when running Rockbox utility. Without it, it got stuck at 60% with the error 'Could not transfer DFU imagen' and 'libusb_error_not_supported'. Having...- r100

Nice to see, and thank you for your efforts! :) It's cool to see how many different ways Rockbox can be customized. For the brightness settings I've used the 'quickscreens': go to the brightness setting in the LCD Settings, hold the select button, assign it to both the 'Left' and 'Right'...- r100

Give it a try with iTunes installed and follow the instructions with the option that you do have iTunes installed (killing the processes etc.). Edit: not related to the question above, but someone is on fire today- r100

Tools should be to the right of the emCORE console. Which version are you on? Since September last year some patch messed up the holdswitch. I've been using a build right before it, it still has great battery life and never crashed even once in all the time I've been using it. USB...- r100

The instructions for updating Rockbox are in the first post. And in the menu of Emcore it's Tools -> fallback image. That build is a little slow, but a proper USB connection seems to work most of the time on it.- r100

And was it working properly before? Have you tried it with several Rockbox builds? Does it behave the same way when you connect it to a different computer? You could also try it with the backup image from Emcore.- r100
