To get this thread back on topic...   My Dad when trying out my HE-400s, having never heard HiFi headphones before: "It's like the first time I ever saw an HDTV. I never knew how much detail I was missing until it was in my face."

Just started trying out my HE-400's. I'm blown away by how incredible this sounds. Unbelievable.   A huge huge huge step up from the Grado SR80is, and Shure SRH440s. Music is giving me goosebumps again!

Yeah, I tried it with 3 different computers. Same thing on all. I'll send it in for a warranty replacement.

It's not the bit depth. I believe the Modi is failing. When I first plug it in and start playing something, it sounds ok for a few seconds, and then it quickly degrades. I've recorded an example for you:   https://soundcloud.com/phalangees/broken-modi   Please let me know what you think.

Got my replacement Magni today, but now the Modi seems to be faulty?!? It has horrible noise, and when music plays it sounds like the music is alien, and full of noise. Incredibly strange. I'm going to leave it unplugged from USB for a few hours, but I think I'm pretty unlucky here... Anyone...
