Just constantly play music through them for a couple days.  Listen to them when you're there and leave them playing when you're not.  You don't need to do anything special.  After like half a day you probably won't notice any difference in the  sound, but it doesn't hurt to to fully burn them in...

You should consider the AD900X.  Only about £120 from Japan.  Or the AD1000X for £185.

Just to clarify, the AD900 is not the same as the AD900X.  The AD900X is not available in the US yet (only in Japan).   I recently purchased both the A900X and AD900X brand new (from Japan).  I received the A900X first and loved them when I got them.  They are well rounded imo.  Nice bass...

For the price ($180 shipped), I'm loving the AD900X's.  Mids and highs and soundstage are all great.  The bass leaves something to be desired, but is still quite enjoyable.

I just picked up a pair of Audio Technica AD900X's and it sounds like they may be what you are looking for.  The soundstage is great, bigger and better than the Q701s.  The mids and highs are also more forward and more detailed and very enjoyable.  The Q701s do win out in the bass department...

Your post doesn't make sense... replacing AD700 for AD700..   I just picked up a pair of AD900X's from Japan for $180 shipped and they sound great.  The mids and highs and soundstage are great.  There's definitely bass, although I wish it had a tiny bit more when listening to bass heavy...
