I was hoping to pick up a set but due to financial restraints, I'll have to be happy with my two pairs of atrio MG7...which I still love to bits. I found tips to play a huge part with FS earphones. The correct type will determine whether the truly magical sound of FS is heard or ruined...

My extensive experience with the entire FS range (EM3, FS1, MG5, MG5pro and MG7) leads me to feel that in order to experience the full potential of FS IEM's is to use the FS yellow foam tips (I didn't like the black foamies much).   I've used just about every tip out there and nothing opens up...

  The FS1 doesn't have as tight bass and the highs are not very sparkly. The MG5 improves on the bass VS the FS1 but the MG7 is much tighter/textured. The MG7 also has significantly better high end VS the MG5.   If you are looking for a back up to your MG7, get another MG7 as the FS1 and...

  I ended up cutting the memory wires off as they were so annoying. Ended up selling that set anyway but it was much better to use with the plastic sheath cut off.   The MG7's are a huge improvement over the MG5pro driver.

David Gray at FS has confirmed to me the atrio has been discontinued.   If anyone is thinking about trying these, just grab them now or you may miss out totally!

I auditioned the Monster years ago and remember I didn't like it anywhere near as much as the Atrio.   The Atrio is not V shaped at all. I find it very nicely balanced (not "neutral"), very lively and the timbre is amazingly realistic!!  

No microphone but the Yuin PK3 are my all time favourite earbuds.

Yeah, the plug. I used to be able to jiggle it around to get it to work but now it doesn't work at all.

I have a pair of old Future Sonics IEMs which I was using at the gym. The drivers are perfect but the jack is faulty and the IEMs no longer work.   Is there a cheap and easy way to replace the jack in a DIY project for someone like me who is not very good with this sort of stuff?
