If the k612 already hast too much treble for you, i would recommend you to try the k702 or k712. These are bassier and a little bit less treble happy but not by much. The k 400, k401, k500, k501 do have even more treble energy than the k612,so i can not recommend any of them for you. You may...

Open the cups and get aaaall that cotton wool out. In some models there is soooo much, that it sounds extremwly muffled. Once you did that, the sound changes drastically. More air, more instrument seperation, more soundstage and crystal cear sound. Its like night and day , everything improves...

I agree with both of you ;D i even prefer the 440 + 840 pads over the srh840, because of better bass (mote kick & texture). The 440 even sounds more detailed because of more treble energy. Its on par with the dt880 for me, even resolution wise. I really like the 440 in stock version unmodded...
