    Beyerdynamic DT 150: Bloody Brilliant!

The only one, that comes in my mind is the T90. It has a similar musicality and 3D / holographic - like soundstage, like the dt150 but without the in-hall effect of the dt150. Its more intimate, similar to the dt880, that live feeling (but the soundstage of the dt880 is, at least for me, only 2D...

    Akg K400

If the k612 already hast too much treble for you, i would recommend you to try the k702 or k712. These are bassier and a little bit less treble happy but not by much. The k 400, k401, k500, k501 do have even more treble energy than the k612,so i can not recommend any of them for you. You may...

    Shure SRH440 Impression

Hey Guys, my search for the perfect portable Headphone has come to an End. I was totally crazy yesterday and created my last SRH440 Mod, and i'm 100% satisfied now. I call it the Master Comfort Mod. I merged my SRH440 with my Sony MDR 1R . . . take a look at it, if you're curious, heres the...

SHURE SRH440 melting with the Sony MDR 1R - The Master Comfort Mod

I did a lot of Mods with the 440 and 840, including a Beyerdynamic-Styled one but i was never 100% satisfied. Creaking Noises, too bulky to be portable (i only use the 440 and 840 as a portable, not at home) etc. Yesterday i was like "OMG lets get serious an do some crazy stuff ! "  . . ...

    Beyerdynamic Tesla T1 dampening mod

I reversed the mod back to stock/normal, because the soundstage suffered too much for my taste. The same with the T90. Nevertheless, its a good solution for people who can live with a smaller soundstage. I for myself use an EQ now and i'm more than satisfied with the results. I recommend to...

    Akg K400

@MDR30. . . i 'd totally forgotten the K500 Love thread, i've read it again and found many answers for my questions ;D  I think I'll remove the plastic-holder, i already removed the foam. Tomorrow I'll open the back, to see if there's foam in the driver-hole, never had any K400, 401, 500 or 501...

    Akg K400

Back again with some curiosity ;D   I got my 4th pair of K400 some days ago. No . . . i'm not addicted. Actually, i don't wanted a 4th pair xD But it came to me me by a coincidence and i got them so cheap, that i couldn't resist buying them (35€) ~ besides of that, they are in...

    AKG K340 Electrostatic Phones

Open the cups and get aaaall that cotton wool out. In some models there is soooo much, that it sounds extremwly muffled. Once you did that, the sound changes drastically. More air, more instrument seperation, more soundstage and crystal cear sound. Its like night and day , everything improves...

    Shure SRH440 Impression

I agree with both of you ;D i even prefer the 440 + 840 pads over the srh840, because of better bass (mote kick & texture). The 440 even sounds more detailed because of more treble energy. Its on par with the dt880 for me, even resolution wise. I really like the 440 in stock version unmodded...

    The Philips Fidelio X1 / X2 . . . aka Superlux EVO in a Candy Cloak!

What? that black plastic thing over the superlux driver with the logo is NOT the driver. You have to look, what lies behind it LOL that is the driver. Shpould i Mario Paint it for you to see? Sorry to talk like that but your writing style is very personal.   There, look again behind the black...

    The Philips Fidelio X1 / X2 . . . aka Superlux EVO in a Candy Cloak!

OMG thanks, i corrected it. Yeah . . . but so many coincidences? what abut the sound? the sound almost identical. The EVO sounds 95% the same . . . and i'm sure, if i would put some more felt on the driver, it would be 100% ;D  Or the other way around . . . if i would remove the felt on the X1...
