  I gave the V6s a go from my Samsung S4 without and without a cMoyBB amp from FLACs and Spotify 386kbps.  I also hooked them up to my O2 DAC/amp and didn't get any hint of harshness.  

I agree with Levanter about the mids.  It's a good balance between the mids and highs.  Nothing is super forward about the mids or the highs and nothing seems overly recessed.  

Just got the V6 demos today and they sound great!  They are definitely a reference pair of IEMs with a decent sound stage, though I wish there was a bit better instrument separation.  However, at this point, if I want better I'd have to go out and buy a pair of the JH13s which I really, really...

Eh, I'll probably demo the V6s and see how I like them and go from there. I've been trying to avoid "wallet creep" and picking up high end flagships because then I'll need to upgrade my DAP, etc. My search all started with just attempting to replace my TF10s and now I'm looking at flagship...

Think the V8s are worth it? At the current rate looks like they will be around 700 which might be worth just making the jump to the JH16s.
